Wanqueen 01 Humane Live Rodent Traps, 2-Pack Galvanized Iron

For a mouse or chipmunk in the house or garden, the Wanqueen 01 live trap offers a catch-and-release approach in a reusable cage. This two-pack is made from galvanized iron and uses a manual pedal trigger: bait the pedal, place the trap where rodent activity is noticed, and the door closes when an animal steps inside.

Each cage measures 10.36" L x 5.5" W x 4.33" H. The compact rectangular shape provides an entry point and a contained space for small rodents. Wear gloves when setting the trap, as recommended by the manufacturer.

Everyday use

These traps are designed for indoor or outdoor placement and are intended for mice, chipmunks, and other small rodents. Add bait to the pedal to attract an animal into the cage. When the pedal is activated, the door closes, allowing for live capture and release. After releasing a captured animal, the trap can be reset and used again.

For a practical setup, position a trap near an area where rodent activity has been noticed, then bait the pedal and set the door. The two-pack lets you place traps in separate locations, such as a kitchen and a garden, instead of relying on a single capture point. Compared with disposable traps or sticky boards, this design is built around repeated use and live release.

Pros

The key advantage is the live-capture format: the animal is contained in a cage rather than caught on a sticky surface. A pedal-triggered door handles the capture, while the manual design needs no power source. Galvanized iron provides the cage material, and the manufacturer describes the body as coated for water resistance and rust protection, supporting indoor and outdoor placement.

Buyers often describe the trap as easy to set and use, and some report successful catches. Feedback on construction and durability is mixed, however, some buyers report breakage or parts coming apart, while others consider the traps well made. Some also feel the cages are smaller than expected, particularly for squirrels or larger animals. The listed dimensions make this set most relevant to small-rodent use.

Key takeaways

This set includes two reusable, manual live traps, each measuring 10.36" L x 5.5" W x 4.33" H. The galvanized iron cage uses bait on a pedal to trigger its closing door. The intended use includes mice and chipmunks indoors or outdoors, with catch-and-release handling as the central approach. Gloves are recommended when setting the trap.

The two-cage format is useful when rodent activity appears in more than one spot. Choose it for a reusable cage trap and a live-release method, for use with a larger animal, consider the stated dimensions and the intended small-rodent application.

Is it worth it?

The Wanqueen 01 is a practical fit for people who want a reusable live trap for small rodents rather than a disposable or sticky option. Its two-cage format, pedal trigger, and catch-and-release design make it suited to placing traps in indoor or outdoor areas where mice or chipmunks are a concern. Match the animal you intend to catch to the cage dimensions, and this set provides a straightforward manual approach to capture and release.
