VF4000 Wet/Dry Vacuum Filter

Quick sizing guide

If you need a replacement filter for a wet/dry vacuum, this VF4000-style filter is aimed at specific RIDGID and Husky capacity ranges. Getting the match right matters more than the broad “compatible” label.

The listed fit is for RIDGID vacuums from 5 to 20 gallons and Husky vacuums from 6 to 9 gallons. The description also names Craftsman vacuums, but doesn’t give a model or capacity range for them.

For RIDGID 6-gallon vacs, the listed models are WD06000, WD06200, WD06250, WD06350, WD06700, and WD06701. WD08000 is listed for 8-gallon units, WD09350, WD09450, WD09500, WD09700, and WD09701 are listed for 9-gallon units.

Before ordering, compare your vacuum’s model number with the list rather than relying on capacity alone. Does your vac fall outside the models shown? The listing doesn’t establish a fit for every unit in those gallon ranges, so an exact model check is the safer call.

Pros

• The pleated paper filter is washable by hand with warm water and can be air-dried for reuse, which may be useful if you’d rather maintain a filter than replace it after every dusty cleanup.
• Installation is described as tool-free. For a routine garage cleanup, that means you can remove the old filter and fit the replacement without needing an extra tool.
• It is designed to capture everyday dust particles, making it relevant for ordinary shop or household vacuuming rather than a specialized filtration need.

The maker gives a reuse estimate of 3–6 months depending on how often the filter is used. That is a guideline, not a guaranteed service life, frequent use may mean more washing and earlier replacement. It’s a great fit if your vacuum is among the listed models and you want a washable replacement. It may not suit you if you need confirmed compatibility with an unlisted vacuum or a stated filtration performance beyond everyday dust.

Spec sheet

Name: VF4000 Type: Wet/dry vacuum filter Format: Washable pleated filter Material: Pleated paper Compatibility: RIDGID 5–20-gallon vacuums, Husky 6–9-gallon vacuums, Craftsman vacuums are also named, with no specific models provided Care: Hand-wash with warm water and air-dry

The description presents this as a replacement-filter option, not a way to upgrade a vacuum’s filtration beyond its stated everyday-dust purpose. If your priority is a filter with clearly documented model coverage, the gaps in the Craftsman listing are worth weighing against the convenience of a washable design.

Should you buy it?

Choose this filter when the vacuum model matches the listed RIDGID models or the stated Husky capacity range, and you want a washable pleated-paper replacement that installs without extra tools. For a quick cleanup of everyday dust, the ability to wash and air-dry it may be practical.

Skip it if you can’t confirm the fit for your exact vacuum, especially for a Craftsman model, since the listing gives no specific Craftsman compatibility details. The deciding point is not just whether your vacuum is wet/dry, it’s whether its model matches the filter’s stated fit.
