ICEPURE Refrigerator Water Filter RWF4200A

Size & fit

The RWF4200A is designed as a replacement for select Samsung refrigerator filters, including DA97-17376B, DA97-08006C, and HAF-QIN/EXP. That model-specific focus matters: a filter can look right and still be the wrong match for your refrigerator. The compatibility list also names models such as RF28T5001SR, RS27T5200SR, RF28R7351SG, and RF24R7201SR, among others. Match your refrigerator’s full model number and the filter number it currently uses before ordering.

In a busy kitchen, the intended payoff is straightforward: filtered water and ice from the refrigerator without adding a separate countertop unit. Why rely on a broad family resemblance when the exact model number is available?

Pros

The listing describes a 0.5-micron outer layer and coconut-shell carbon, with reductions claimed for chlorine, taste, odor, particles, THM, VOCs, and other impurities while retaining healthy minerals. It also reports NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 certification, including lead-free certification, and says the housing is BPA-free. These are useful claims to weigh when water taste and material standards matter, but they are product-maker statements rather than a substitute for checking the certification details yourself.

A stated flow rate of 0.50 GPM is intended to keep filling a glass or pitcher from feeling like a slow chore. The design is also described as tool-free to install, with instructions and installation stickers included. For someone replacing a refrigerator cartridge at home, that suggests a simpler swap than choosing a separate filtration setup that takes up counter space.

Worth considering if you want a four-filter pack for a listed refrigerator model and prefer a replacement with stated filtration and certification details. It’s not for you if your refrigerator or existing cartridge number is not on the compatibility list, or if you want a filter explicitly identified as a Samsung-branded part.

The maker also says the filter was independently tested for reductions in heavy metals and other contaminants. Since the listing does not provide test results here, treat that as a claim to verify if specific contaminant performance is central to your choice. The stated replacement interval is a useful planning guide, but actual timing depends on water use and the instructions for your refrigerator.

Buying verdict

This ICEPURE replacement makes most sense when your refrigerator’s model and existing filter number match the list, and you want a multi-pack with stated flow and filtration details. Its practical appeal is less about changing how you get water and more about keeping the built-in dispenser and ice maker supplied with filtered water. If the model number is uncertain, pause and identify it before choosing, a filter with impressive claims is still the wrong buy if it does not fit. For buyers who prioritize an exact match above a four-pack or the listed filtration features, comparing other replacement routes by the refrigerator’s required filter number is the safer approach.
