Veise Keypad Door Lock, Oil-Rubbed Bronze

Households sharing a front or back door with family, older relatives, or frequent visitors may appreciate having code entry alongside two backup keys. The two lever handles make this a full lock-and-handle set rather than a keypad-only replacement.

For a guest, a one-time code can avoid handing out a permanent household code. For everyday arrivals, the backlit keypad is meant to make entry easier after dark.

The trade-off is that access still depends on the keypad and its codes, so consider whether that suits everyone who uses the door. It’s a great fit if you want several permanent codes and automatic relocking without relying on a key for each entry.

Best use cases

This Veise keypad door lock is designed for front doors, back doors, garage entries, and exterior home-office doors. It can suit a busy household where people arrive at different times: assign permanent codes to regular users, then generate a one-time password for a visitor. The package also includes two backup keys, giving you a physical entry option if you need it.

The auto-lock timer can be set from 10 to 99 seconds, and holding any keypad key for two seconds locks the door immediately from outside. Picture coming in with bags and then leaving again in a hurry: the one-touch option gives you a direct way to secure the door without entering a code first. If you prefer the door to stay unlocked for continuous passage, Passage Mode disables auto-lock, that convenience also means the door will not relock automatically in that mode.

Product specs

The set has a keypad deadbolt and two lever handles in an oil-rubbed bronze finish. Access includes one master code, 20 permanent user codes, one-time passwords for guests, and two backup keys. The keypad lights when touched, while a blinking red top button provides a low-battery warning. The description does not specify battery type or battery life, so those details are worth checking before choosing.

For privacy, the anti-peeping feature lets you add random digits before or after your real code. After 10 failed attempts, the lock shuts down for three minutes. Silent Mode mutes keypad beeps but keeps low-battery and security alerts audible. Vacation Mode disables codes other than the Master Code, the product description says an alarm sounds if the lock is then opened from inside using the thumb turn.

The lock is listed with IP54 water and dust resistance, ANSI Grade 3 and BHMA testing, and an operating temperature range of -31°F to 158°F. The maker also reports testing to 200,000+ cycles. On the spec sheet, those details point to a lock intended for entry-door use, but the instructions still say to keep liquids away from the keyhole and lock interior and avoid prolonged direct sunlight.

Where it shines

Compared with a basic keyed lock, this set offers shared codes, temporary guest access, and a lit keypad, which can make a common entry easier to manage. Compared with a simpler keypad lock, its extra modes give you more control over automatic locking, audible beeps, and access while away. The handles are included, so the product is presented as a coordinated set rather than a deadbolt alone.

Better avoided if you need an always-automatic lock: Passage Mode intentionally turns that function off. Also, although Easy Install is part of the product name, the supplied information does not describe door measurements or installation requirements. Check that the set fits your door before ordering, rather than assuming the handle design alone guarantees compatibility.

Final verdict

This is worth considering if you want keypad entry for several regular users, occasional one-time guest codes, and a backup key in the same set. The illuminated keypad and configurable auto-lock address everyday arrival and departure routines, while the modes let you choose between stricter access and free passage. If your priority is a lock with documented fit requirements, battery details, or a simpler keyed setup, those needs are not answered by the information provided here, verify the missing details or compare with a more basic lock before deciding.
