SSAWER CX-20 Magnetic Building Blocks, 100-Piece 0.8-Inch STEM Set

Some play sessions are more enjoyable with a visual guide, others are all about building from scratch. This SSAWER magnetic block set supports both approaches with 100 cubes in 33 designs and a storybook of illustrated building patterns. Its compact 0.8-inch cubes give kids a hands-on way to explore creative construction away from screens.

Tips for day-to-day use

Start with a pattern from the storybook, then let kids change the design or create something of their own. The magnetic connections make it easy to attach, take apart, and rearrange cubes as a build develops. That open-ended format suits a short, guided activity as well as longer stretches of imaginative play, and the set can be shared by kids and adults at home.

With 100 pieces and 33 distinct designs, there are different shapes and colors to work into each project. Kids can build structures, experiment with arrangements, and rebuild when they want a new direction. The pieces are also described as easy to store, making the set practical to put away between play sessions. It is intended for ages 3 and up.

What you’ll notice day to day

Each cube measures 0.79 x 0.79 x 0.79 inches, giving the set a compact format for tabletop building. The blocks are made from ABS plastic and use eight magnetic contact points to connect. Their multicolor, forest-themed designs add visual variety, while the magnetic format lets children focus on combining and rearranging pieces instead of fitting together a single fixed construction.

This makes the set a useful choice when you want an activity that can move between following instructions and independent play. For example, a child can use an illustrated pattern as a starting point, then adapt the build or make a new structure. The hands-on process encourages creative thinking, imagination, problem-solving, and fine motor practice through play.

Buyers describe the blocks as fun and engaging, and say they inspire creative play, some also enjoy the click as pieces connect. Feedback on size is mixed, with some buyers finding the cubes smaller than average. Their listed dimensions offer a concrete reference when choosing a set for a child’s building activities.
