SONGMICS ULLD117B101 Adjustable Bed Desk, 6 Heights, 120° Tilt

Choosing a surface for a laptop in bed is different from finding a tray for breakfast or a book: this SONGMICS desk is designed to handle several of those at-home tasks. Its adjustable height and tilting top let you change the setup for working, reading, or relaxing in a bedroom or living room.

The 20.5 x 11.8-inch surface gives you room for a laptop and other small essentials. It folds for storage, while the non-slip baffle helps hold items in place when the top is tilted.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the desk on a stable surface and choose one of its six height settings before placing a laptop on it. The stepless tilt can help position the screen or reading material at a more comfortable viewing angle. For a simple work-from-bed setup, the retaining bar is useful on an angled surface, the built-in wrist rest adds a place to rest your hands during use.

The top is also described as suitable for breakfast or study tasks, so it can serve as a small household surface rather than a laptop-only stand. If you plan to use the phone or tablet slot, keep in mind the product information warns that devices may slip when the desk is tilted.

What stands out

The main distinction is adjustability: the desktop angle can be set steplessly up to 120°, and the legs offer six height settings. That gives it more setup flexibility than a fixed lap tray, especially when moving between sitting and reclining. Its aluminum alloy frame, particleboard top, and ABS plastic components keep the design focused on portable home use.

Buyer feedback is generally positive about the surface area, versatility, and construction. Some describe it as roomy enough for a laptop alongside a mouse pad or drink, while comments about stability are mixed: buyers say laptops can sit securely, but some report that the legs do not lock properly. Those experiences are worth weighing if a firmly locked position is essential to your setup.

What to clarify

Can the height and angle both be adjusted? Yes. The desk has six height settings and a separate stepless tilt adjustment up to 120°.

Is it only intended for a laptop? No. The product information also describes it as a surface for studying, reading, or having breakfast in a bedroom or living room.

Can a phone or tablet stay in its slot while the top is tilted? The product information advises against using the slot in that position because items may slip. The non-slip baffle is included to help retain items on the tilted surface.

Is it worth it?

It suits you if you want one foldable surface for laptop use and lighter activities around the home, with more height and angle adjustment than a fixed tray. The listed size, 4.3-pound weight, and foldable legs support a portable setup, while buyer feedback suggests that sturdiness is not experienced consistently by everyone. It may not suit you if you need to keep a phone or tablet in its slot while tilted, or if secure leg locking is a must-have. For those needs, a fixed surface or a setup with a separate device holder may be a better fit.
