SONGMICS ULLD120B101 Foldable Lap Desk with Cup Holder, Tablet Slot and Drawer

At 23.6 x 15.7 inches, the SONGMICS ULLD120B101 foldable lap desk offers a broad work surface for a laptop, with room to keep a mouse or notes close by. Its wood-and-metal construction and 10.6-inch height make it a practical setup for working or studying from a bed, couch, or other comfortable spot at home.

A built-in cup holder, tablet slot, and storage drawer give everyday items a place on the tray instead of spreading across the surface. The legs fold for storage, and the desk is ready to use when unfolded, with no assembly required.

Practical tips

Set the desk on a stable, level surface and unfold its legs before placing a laptop or other items on top. The surface accommodates laptops up to 17 inches, making it useful for a virtual class, reading, or catching up on work without moving to a full-size desk. The open area can also hold notes or a mouse alongside the computer.

Use the tablet slot to keep a device upright for reading or following a lesson, and the drawer for small essentials you want nearby. A drink can sit in the built-in cup holder rather than taking up space where you are working. The listed maximum static load is 66 lb, avoid placing overweight items on the desk.

Where it shines

This tray suits routines that move between a bedroom and living room. For focused laptop work, its wide surface leaves space for a few accompanying items, for a more relaxed setup, the cup holder and tablet slot make it easy to keep a drink and reading device within reach. It can also serve as a breakfast tray or a portable surface for studying, so it offers more organization than a simple flat lap board.

When the desk is not in use, fold the legs to store it flat. That makes it easier to put away between sessions than a fixed workstation, while keeping a dedicated surface available for the next time you want to work or read from a couch or bed.

The essentials

The SONGMICS lap desk measures 23.6 x 15.7 x 10.6 inches and comes in black. It is made with wood and metal and combines a laptop surface with a cup holder, tablet slot, and small drawer. Its folding-leg design is intended for portable use, and it requires no assembly: unfold the legs to set it up, then fold them for storage.

Buyers describe it as functional and versatile, with some noting its usefulness for virtual learning and serving food. Feedback is mixed on sturdiness: some find it durable, while others report surface cracking or problems with the legs staying locked. That range of experiences is worth keeping in mind when choosing between a foldable tray with built-in organization and a simpler, fixed lap surface.
