The fitted cover is shaped around the compatible console, with access to its ports, buttons, and features. Its flexible construction is designed for easy installation, while protective bumpers and shock-absorbing material help guard against everyday bumps, scratches, and accidental drops. The textured surface adds grip for handheld sessions, including when a steadier hold is useful during active gameplay.
Best use cases
This case suits players who want added grip and everyday protection without giving up access to the console’s controls. For example, during a longer gaming session, the textured sides provide a more secure-feeling hold, and the flexible cover is made to sit around the device rather than cover its controls. The breathable design is also intended to aid heat dissipation during use.
The built-in stand is useful when you want to set the handheld down, connect a controller, or cast to a monitor. It gives the case another practical role beyond carrying the console in handheld mode. Compared with a case built around a front cover, this open design keeps the screen and controls accessible while the console is in use.
Buyers highlight the case’s fit and perceived quality. Those points align with its device-specific design and make fit a central consideration when choosing this cover. Check that your handheld is the 2025 ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X, as the case is made for that model rather than the original ROG Ally or older models.
Box contents
The package includes the kickstand bumper case only, the handheld device is not included. The case does not have a front cover, so it protects the console’s exterior while leaving the screen open.
