SEYUGOPTI Lavalier Microphone with Mini XLR TA3F Plug

What to know

The Mini XLR TA3F plug is the key detail here: this clip-on lavalier is intended for use with specific AKG and Samson wireless microphone systems, not as a universal microphone. Its small, unidirectional condenser design clips to a collar or tie, keeping the mic close to the speaker during a lecture, interview, or performance. The 1.5-meter cable gives some room to route it neatly to a compatible system, and the foam windscreen is meant to help reduce wind noise and shield the capsule from dust, moisture, and sweat. It’s a replacement-style wired lav mic, so the main buying decision is whether its connector matches your transmitter.

The listed compatible models include AKG DPT 70, DPT 700, PT 40, PT 45, PT 60, PT 61, PT 80, PT 81, PT 400, PT 450, PT 470, PT 200, PT 4000, and PT 4500, as well as Samson UT1L and VT2L systems. Ten in mind that a familiar brand name alone is not enough to confirm compatibility, check the exact model and connector before ordering. A solid pick if you need a discreet lavalier replacement for a listed system. Not the best choice if you need a standalone mic or a plug that works across different wireless transmitters.

Best use cases

This setup makes sense for speaking situations where a visible handheld mic would get in the way: clipping it to a shirt for a classroom lecture, attaching it to a tie for an interview, or wearing it while hosting an event. The clip keeps the capsule in position while your hands stay free. The listing also describes stage, religious, and musical performance use, though the clearest fit is spoken audio where the mic can stay close to the speaker.

The cable is 1.5 meters long, which gives you a defined amount of slack rather than the freedom of a wireless lavalier capsule. If your transmitter needs to sit farther away, that fixed reach may be restrictive. For a simple replacement connection to a compatible bodypack, though, a wired lav can be a more direct choice than buying a different microphone system.

Tips for day-to-day use

Clip the mic to a collar or tie and keep the capsule oriented toward your voice. Before a talk or recording, check that the cable is routed without pulling on the clip, cable movement can become distracting during use. Fit the foam windscreen as intended, especially if the microphone may encounter airflow or moisture. The product description says the cable is lightweight, flexible, and shielded, but it doesn’t provide details about care instructions or connector durability, so handle the cable and plug with ordinary care.

Practical doubts

Does it connect to any AKG wireless mic? No universal compatibility is stated. The listing names specific AKG and Samson models, so match your transmitter model and Mini XLR TA3F connection before choosing it.

How long is the cable? It is listed as 1.5 meters. Consider where your transmitter will sit and whether that reach suits your setup.

Can you wear it hands-free? Yes. It has a lapel clip designed to attach to a collar or tie, leaving your hands free while you speak.

Final verdict

This SEYUGOPTI lavalier is most compelling as a practical replacement for a compatible wireless system: it offers a clip-on format, a stated 1.5-meter cable, and a windscreen in a compact speaking setup. Its usefulness depends on the exact transmitter match, and the cable length is a real constraint if your placement needs more reach. Choose it when your model is on the compatibility list and you want a discreet mic for lectures, interviews, or hosting, look elsewhere if you need broader compatibility or a self-contained recording solution.
