Ruko 1088 Programmable Robot Toy, Gold, Remote & App Control
Product description
Kids ages 4–9 who enjoy interactive, STEM-inspired play can explore movement, music, stories, and programming with the Ruko 1088. Its remote and app controls, command-based interactions, and touch response give children different ways to engage with one robot.
At 15.8 inches tall, this gold plastic robot is designed for play that goes beyond a simple moving toy. Programming features, songs, stories, and expressive movements create activities children can return to in different ways.
What to know
The Ruko 1088 combines interactive play with programming features intended to support creativity and imagination. Children can use the 2.4 GHz remote, the app, commands, or the gravity sensor to control it, while a touch sensor on its head responds to interaction. Its nine flexible joint motors support movement, and the robot can roam or follow along during play.
Music and storytelling add variety: the robot has 10 songs, four stories, and 10 expressions available for programming. It can also play music as a speaker when connected to a phone through Bluetooth. Compared with a simpler toy focused on a single kind of movement, the 1088 offers several ways to control and interact with it, making it a fit for children who like switching between guided play and exploring features.
Customer feedback often highlights the entertainment value, gift appeal, and an intuitive remote, with some noting that the symbols are easy to learn. Experiences with functionality and value vary, some customers also report that the robot stops working unexpectedly. These comments reflect individual experiences, while the documented features provide a clear picture of the activities it offers.
Practical tips
The robot runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and one battery is included. Use the USB charging cable supplied with the robot to charge it, USB-C-to-USB-C cables are not supported for charging. The box includes the robot, remote control, USB charging cable, and user manual, so the manual can help families get familiar with the controls and available activities.
For a play session, children can start with remote control, then explore app control, commands, or the gravity sensor. Songs and stories offer a different activity from movement and programming, so the robot can shift between interactive play and music-focused use. Its gold finish and character styling also make it a ready-to-give birthday or holiday gift for children in the recommended age range.
Tips for day-to-day use
Keep the controls and activity in step with the child’s interests: use the remote for direct operation, or explore the app and command-based functions for a more interactive session. The touch-responsive head provides another way to engage, while the robot’s programmed expressions, stories, and songs give children options beyond movement. When music is the focus, connect a phone through Bluetooth to use the robot as a speaker.
A practical routine is to choose one activity at a time—such as exploring movement, trying a story, or programming a song—so children can get to know the robot’s different features through play. Recharge it with the included cable when needed, following the charging guidance in the manual.
