RUBDARK GF-8019 Propane Weed Torch, 37-Inch Detachable Arm

At 37 inches long, the RUBDARK GF-8019 propane weed torch gives you an angled reach for outdoor tasks without requiring you to work close to the ground. Its detachable arm makes the tool easier to store and transport, while the ergonomic grip and control valve support steady handling as you direct the flame.

The burner is rated for 45,000 BTU and temperatures up to 3272°F. Use it for weeds in lawn edges, flower beds, and driveway joints, or for other listed high-heat tasks around the home and garden.

Getting the most from it

The long arm is useful for treating weeds in ground-level gaps while standing upright, and its angled design helps you position the wide nozzle over the target area. The control knob lets you adjust the flame, and the product instructions specify turning it 90° counterclockwise for ignition. Keep a clear working area and stay clear of the flame while operating the torch.

The arm separates into sections for storage or transport. Assembly is tool-free. The propane tank is not included. The torch fits standard CGA 600 cylinders in 14.1 oz, 16 oz (1 lb), 3 lb, and 5 lb sizes, using a 20 lb tank requires a separate compatible hose assembly.

Where it shines

This torch is designed for more than weeding. Its high-heat burner can also be used for melting ice, lighting a grill, wood burning, softening asphalt, stripping paint, small soldering tasks, and burning stumps. That range makes it a practical tool to keep with outdoor and home-maintenance equipment when occasional flame-based work is part of the routine.

Compared with a compact handheld torch, the 37-inch angled arm offers more reach for ground-level jobs and helps you work without bending as much. Customer feedback describes the torch as lightweight and easy to hold, while opinions about weed removal and durability vary. Its design is especially relevant for buyers who want a long-handled burner for outdoor areas rather than a small torch intended mainly for close-up work.
