RAVS butane torch RBT018 Dual-Flame Butane Torch Lighter, Metal, Adjustable

At 3.8"L x 1.8"W x 5.7"H, the RAVS butane torch RBT018 is a compact, handheld kitchen torch with a metal body and an ergonomic handle. Its two selectable flame modes and adjustable flame control let you tailor the flame for tasks such as browning a crème brûlée topping, finishing other dishes, or handling small craft and jewelry projects.

Piezo press ignition supports one-handed operation, while the wide copper base provides a stable place to set the torch down. For what kind of work would adjustable flame control be useful? It gives you a practical way to select between two modes and fine-tune flame size for different heating tasks.

Getting the most from it

Choose the flame mode with the mode knob, then use the adjustment knob to set the flame size for the job. In the kitchen, the torch can help finish gourmet dishes, including crème brûlée, beyond cooking, its listed uses include arts and crafts, jewelry making, and small welding applications. The maximum temperature is 2,372°F, a useful specification when comparing a multi-purpose torch with a simpler fixed-flame model.

The torch is refillable and uses butane. For refilling, turn off the flow regulation before adding fuel, the product instructions describe a refill of about 15 seconds for 8–11 g. Using quality, pure refillable butane is also recommended. Once fueled, press the piezo ignition for quick startup, then adjust the flame to suit the task.

Pros

A metal construction gives the torch a sturdy feel, and the ergonomic handle is designed for a comfortable grip. The adjustable flame and two modes offer more control than a torch with only one fixed setting, while the wide copper base helps keep it supported when placed on a work surface. Its compact dimensions make it easy to handle for kitchen finishing and smaller hands-on projects.

Buyers often highlight the solid feel, straightforward controls, and ease of use. Feedback is more varied on flame strength and refilling, so the torch’s adjustable settings and butane refill process are useful points to consider when choosing a tool for your specific work.
