Ninja Blast JB-035 Light-Up Baseball Toss-and-Catch Game with Adjustable Gloves

Foam balls and adjustable sticky gloves give the Ninja Blast JB-035 a simple toss-and-catch format for two players. Its baseball-inspired setup is aimed at active play rather than batting practice.

The paddles light up when a catch is made, adding a visible cue to the game. That feature may be most appealing for backyard play that continues into the evening.

The set requires 6 AAA batteries, which are not included. Plan to supply those separately if you want to use the lights.

Getting the most from it

Each player wears a glove, adjusts the strap, and tosses a soft ball toward the other player’s sticky catching surface. The grip is designed to help the ball stay on the paddle after a catch, so the game has an easy-to-follow rhythm for beginners. A short round in the yard, at a park, or indoors where there is room to toss is a practical way to use the set, the product details do not specify a required playing area.

The adjustable straps let players secure the gloves to their hands, while the foam material gives the included balls a soft construction. The listing identifies this as a two-player game, so it is best understood as a shared activity rather than a complete solo-play set. It suits you if you want a straightforward game that gets a child moving and gives a parent, sibling, or friend a role in the play.

Benefits

The light-up feature distinguishes this set from a basic toss-and-catch game without illuminated paddles. LEDs flash on a successful catch, giving players immediate visual feedback and making the paddles more noticeable in evening play. The lights do not remove the need for visibility or a suitable playing space, and battery operation means the effect depends on having the required batteries available.

The sticky catching surface and adjustable straps are practical touches for a game that involves repeated reaching and catching. The rules are simple: wear the paddle, toss, and catch. That keeps setup easy and leaves room for players to take turns or vary the distance themselves, without adding equipment beyond the included balls and gloves. It’s not for you if you’re specifically looking for a listed solo activity, the set is specified for two players.

When it makes sense

This set makes sense as a gift for a child when the goal is an active, easy-to-start game to play with another person. Its glowing catch paddles give it a different feel from a plain ball-and-glove set, while the soft balls and sticky surfaces keep the basic action focused on catching rather than hitting. The product title presents it as a gift for boys ages 3, 4, and 5, but the supplied details do not give further age, sizing, or safety guidance.

Choose it if the light-up element and two-player format are part of the appeal, and you are comfortable supplying the batteries. A simpler non-light-up toss-and-catch game may suit buyers who do not need illuminated paddles, a more demanding sports toy would be a different direction for someone seeking more advanced play. The available specifications do not describe the lights’ settings or battery life, so those details should not be assumed.
