Mafbeanl NO.2231A Motorized Rocket Launcher with Parachute and LED Lights

A quick outdoor activity and a more science-focused play session call for different kinds of toys. The Mafbeanl NO.2231A is a powered rocket with two selectable launch heights, a parachute descent, and LED lights. Its appeal is the launch-and-retrieve loop, rather than building a model rocket. The listed age range is 8–12, while the manufacturer recommends it for ages 7–14.

Practical tips

This rocket is designed for outdoor use, so plan for an open area where its flight and landing can be followed. A single press of the launch button selects the lower setting, listed as up to 100 ft with about 4 seconds of flight time, pressing twice in a row selects up to 200 ft, with about 8 seconds of flight time. Those figures are stated maximums, not a promise that every launch will reach the same height.

The built-in parachute is intended to deploy at the top of the flight and slow the descent. Keep track of where the rocket comes down so it can be retrieved before another launch. The LED lights may also help with visibility during a night launch, though the toy is still meant for outdoor play. The package details list one lithium polymer battery and a USB charging cable, the manufacturer says a full charge takes 40 minutes and supports up to 25–40 flights, depending on the selected height.

Benefits

The two height settings make the launch button do more than simply start the motor: they offer a choice between a lower flight and a higher one. That can help families adjust the activity to the available space and how far they want to retrieve the rocket. The foam body, built-in parachute, and portable design are practical features for a toy intended to fly and return to the ground.

Unlike a simple ball or glider, this rocket adds powered takeoff, selectable altitude, and a parachute descent. The educational objective is exploring flight and space science concepts, so it can serve as a starting point for talking about lift, flight paths, and how a parachute slows a fall. It makes sense if the goal is an active outdoor toy that gives kids a visible launch to follow, rather than a quiet tabletop activity.

What to know

The product is listed as 8.6 inches, with dimensions of 8.6 x 6.3 x 3.2 inches and a weight of 0.19 kg. Its body is described as EPP foam in the feature details, the item listing also identifies the material as foam. It is battery-powered and self-propelled, and the charging cable and battery are listed as included.

Buyer feedback is enthusiastic about the fun, launch height, and parachute, but experiences are not uniform. Some buyers describe the toy as durable, while others report breakage or a flimsy parachute. Flight feedback is also mixed, with reports of high launches alongside accounts of the rocket falling before completing its expected flight. That makes careful handling and realistic expectations worthwhile, especially if durability is the main purchase priority. The toy’s advertised landing design should not be treated as a guarantee that every flight will end the same way.

Is it worth it?

The NO.2231A has a clear use case: outdoor play that combines a powered launch with a visible descent and a reason to move around between flights. Its rechargeable battery, two height settings, and lights add more to the routine than a basic throw-and-retrieve toy, while keeping the activity centered on one rocket. It might not be a great match if you need consistently predictable flight or want to avoid a toy that requires retrieving after launch, buyer reports on flight and durability vary. For families comfortable with active outdoor play and mixed feedback on build durability, its features offer a more engaging alternative to a basic flying toy.
