Nicpro Mechanical Pencil Set, 0.7 mm

When a writing session shifts from quick notes to a sketch or a drafting task, a mechanical pencil set can save you from stopping to sharpen. The Nicpro set includes three 0.7 mm metal pencils, HB lead refills, erasers, and a plastic case to keep the supplies together. Its contoured silicone grips and click-advance leads are aimed at controlled writing and drawing, while the brass-bodied pencils offer a more substantial feel than a basic lightweight pencil. If you prioritize a ready-to-carry kit with spare supplies, this setup has practical appeal, if you prefer choosing your own pencil weight and grip, a single pencil may be a better fit.

Where it shines

The useful part here is the combination of pencils and consumables in one case. For example, you could keep the set in a backpack, pull out a pencil to annotate class notes, then use the same lead for a small sketch without needing a sharpener. The set includes six tubes of HB lead, with 24 leads per tube, plus three erasers and nine eraser refills. That gives you replacements on hand rather than requiring an immediate search for compatible supplies.

Nicpro describes the lead as easy to advance and designed to resist breaking, smudging, and leaving difficult-to-erase marks. Those are helpful aims for everyday writing and sketching, though the listing does not provide test results or details about performance on different paper. The 0.7 mm lead is the defined format here, so this is a general-purpose setup rather than a choice for someone specifically seeking a different lead size.

Highlights

The pencils have a metal body described as full brass, with a soft silicone contour and ridges intended to improve grip. That combination may appeal if you like a pencil that feels more substantial in hand and want additional grip texture during longer note-taking or drawing sessions. Each pencil advances lead with a click, so there is no sharpening step.

The tradeoff is that a metal-bodied pencil may feel heavier than a simple plastic model, and the listing gives no pencil weight or grip dimensions. The listing gives no grip dimensions, so buyers who need to judge fit precisely are choosing without that measurement. The plastic case helps keep the pieces together, but the product details do not specify its dimensions or internal layout.

Best use cases

This set makes the most sense for school notes, everyday desk writing, and sketching where a 0.7 mm HB lead works for the task. It also suits someone who wants several pencils available at once—for example, one in a pencil case, one at a desk, and one ready for a drawing session. Worth considering if you want spare leads and eraser refills included with the pencils, rather than buying a bare mechanical pencil and assembling supplies separately.

It may not suit you if you need a particular pencil weight, grip measurement, or lead format that the listing does not specify. Artists or technical users with exact drafting preferences may be better served by selecting a pencil around those requirements first, then choosing refills separately.

Final verdict

The Nicpro set is a practical all-in-one pick for routine writing, schoolwork, and casual sketching, especially if keeping backup leads and erasers in the same case matters. Its specific draw is the combination of three brass-bodied 0.7 mm pencils, textured silicone grips, and included HB refills. Choose it for a ready-stocked general-purpose kit, pass if your decision depends on precise fit details or a lead size beyond the one listed.
