NEOAQLUX ASKXW 24/7 LED Aquarium Light, Full Spectrum, 12 Colors

Some aquarium owners want straightforward illumination, others want the light to follow a daily rhythm and offer more control over color and brightness. The NEOAQLUX ASKXW is designed for freshwater plant and fish tanks measuring 24–30 inches, with a gradual sunrise-to-moonlight cycle and customizable settings.

Choose its 24/7 mode for a continuous sequence that moves through sunrise, daylight, sunset, and night. You can also select a timer setting to run the light automatically each day.

Would a softer transition between lighting periods suit your tank routine? The sunrise, daylight, and moonlight stages make this a practical choice for setting a changing light schedule rather than relying on one fixed color.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the light on its extendable brackets across a compatible 24–30-inch tank, then choose the mode that best fits your setup. The 24/7 default mode runs its simulated day-and-night cycle continuously, the separate timer offers five daily durations, from 4 to 12 hours. This gives you a choice between an ongoing lighting cycle and a defined daily schedule.

For a more tailored look, use the 12 color options and gradient mode, then adjust brightness across nine levels. The built-in memory restores the last brightness setting when power is restored, so your selected level can carry over between uses. The full-spectrum LEDs are intended for aquariums with plants and fish, combining functional tank lighting with color choices for the overall appearance.

The light is rated IP68 for full submersion. Its brackets support placement over the aquarium, while the included adapter connects it to corded power. Keep the selected cycle and brightness consistent with the lighting routine you want for your tank.

Why it makes sense

Compared with a single-color light that you operate manually, the ASKXW combines color selection, adjustable brightness, and automatic timing in one fixture. That flexibility is useful when you want to choose a particular look for the tank while also setting a routine that does not depend on switching the light on and off by hand. Its sunrise-to-moonlight sequence adds a gradual day-and-night effect, and the gradient mode offers another way to vary the lighting.

Buyers often highlight the brightness, range of colors, adjustable settings, and automatic day-and-night options. Feedback on stability is mixed: some report sagging in the middle, while another says it sits well on a metal mesh cover. The adjustable settings and scheduled modes are the main reasons to consider this light when you want more control than a basic on/off setup.
