NEEWER RL-18 18-Inch Ring Light Kit, 55W Dimmable LED with Tripod

Creators who need adjustable lighting for phone videos, selfies, makeup, or live streams can set up the NEEWER RL-18 around their preferred framing. Its 18-inch ring uses 240 LEDs and offers dimming plus two color temperatures. Want to move between a cooler look and a warmer one? Snap-on filters make that change straightforward. The kit also pairs the light with a phone holder, tripod stand, and Bluetooth remote.

Usage tips

Position the light in front of your subject for broad, even illumination during video recording, live streaming, or makeup application. Its 180-degree tilt makes it easier to direct the light toward a face, product, or work area. Adjust brightness to suit the scene, then choose the white filter for 5600K or the orange filter for 3200K. The light is rated at 5500 lux at 0.5m, with a 95 CRI for color rendering.

For phone content, secure the phone in the holder and use the included RT107 Bluetooth remote to trigger photo or video recording wirelessly, from up to 32.8ft/10m away. The holder rotates 360 degrees to switch between landscape and portrait framing. The stand extends up to 61"/155cm, for stability, keep its center joint 4 to 8in/10 to 20cm above the ground. The top 1/4" screw can mount standard studio gear and accessories.

Why it’s worth it

Compared with a basic phone light, the RL-18 gives you a larger 18-inch light source, adjustable brightness, and two color-temperature choices in one setup. That combination is useful when you want to shape the look of a video without changing your recording position: for example, soften the lighting for a talking-head clip, then switch to a warmer tone for a different scene. The cold shoe ball head adapter also provides a mounting point for compatible studio accessories, while the included phone holder keeps phone-based recording central to the setup.

Buyer feedback commonly points to easy assembly, simple filter changes, flexible positioning, and usefulness for photos and videos. Some buyers also report durability concerns, including breakage or component failures after a few months of use. This feedback is worth considering alongside the practical benefits of the adjustable stand and lighting controls.
