NEEWER BASICS NL-192B 13" LED Video Light Panel, Bi-Color, 20W

Creators who need adjustable light for streaming, video, or photography can shape the look with the NEEWER BASICS NL-192B. Its bi-color panel shifts from warm to cool light, and brightness is dimmable from 0 to 100%. Choose a compact, battery-powered panel for mobile setups, or a larger studio light when your priority is a permanent lighting rig.

Why it makes sense

The NL-192B combines 192 LEDs—96 warm yellow and 96 cool white—in a slim panel measuring 10.55" x 1" x 7.4". At 0.39" thick and 20.5 oz, it is designed to travel easily between indoor and outdoor shoots. Use it as a soft key or fill light for a portrait, a talking-head video, a podcast recording, or a live stream, its broad light coverage is intended to provide soft, natural illumination with minimal shadows.

Buyers highlight the panel’s brightness as useful for video lighting. Feedback on reliability is mixed: some buyers report that the light worked well, while another reported that it stopped working after three months. This perspective can help set expectations when comparing a portable panel with a more permanent studio setup.

What matters most

Color temperature ranges from 3200K to 5600K, so you can choose warmer or cooler tones to suit the scene. Brightness adjusts from 0 to 100%, while the listed output reaches 2400 lux at 0.5m. A CRI rating of 97+ is specified for color rendering. The rear HD LCD displays color temperature, brightness, and battery status, making the current settings visible while you adjust the light.

A built-in 8000mAh rechargeable battery supports up to 90 minutes of continuous lighting. The panel supports 15V 2A fast charging with the included power adapter, with a full charge taking approximately two hours. For a mobile recording session, the battery and slim profile let you position the light without planning around a permanent studio fixture, the USB connectivity also suits a compact equipment setup.

Tips for day-to-day use

Mount the light using its standard cold shoe or 1/4" threaded hole, with compatible options including a camcorder, tripod, or light stand. That gives you a practical way to place it above or beside a camera, or position it separately as fill light. The ventilation holes on the back and edges are designed to dissipate heat during use. Fully charge the panel before first use to support battery longevity.

The package includes the LED video light panel with built-in battery, a cold shoe adapter, a US charger, and a user manual. This gives you the panel and mounting adapter for setting up a camera-side light, with a charger for powering the rechargeable unit.

Is it worth it?

The NL-192B suits creators who want one portable panel for more than a single lighting role: adjust its color temperature and brightness for streaming, interviews, portraits, or studio photography, then use the cold shoe or threaded mount to place it in the setup. Compared with choosing a fixed-color light, its warm-to-cool adjustment offers more control over the lighting tone, while its battery supports short shoots away from a power outlet. Its slim, 20.5 oz design makes it a practical fit for content creators who need adaptable lighting they can carry between recording locations.
