Generic Clear tarp 8x8 ft Clear PVC Tarp, 14 mil with Grommets

The 8x8 ft clear PVC tarp provides a waterproof cover while allowing light and visibility through the material. Its 14 mil thickness, reinforced edges, and grommets make it suited to enclosing outdoor areas such as a porch, patio, greenhouse, or chicken coop.

Use it as a transparent barrier when you want to shelter an outdoor space without blocking the view or sunlight as an opaque cover would. Rope and cable ties are included for securing the tarp.

Tips for day-to-day use

Attach the tarp through its aluminum-alloy grommets, which are spaced every 20 inches along the edges. The reinforced stitching and corners are designed to support fastening, while the included rope and cable ties give you practical ways to secure it to a suitable structure. For a porch or patio enclosure, position the clear panel where it can act as a barrier against rain, wind, dust, and debris while keeping the area bright.

The tarp can also cover a greenhouse or chicken coop. After unpacking, lay it flat to help folded creases relax, placing it in sunlight or a warm environment can also help them gradually flatten. These simple steps make it easier to prepare the sheet for its intended outdoor setup.

Why it’s worth it

Clear PVC offers a different approach from an opaque tarp: it creates a weather barrier while preserving visibility and allowing light through. The product is described as transmitting 99% of light, a useful feature when covering plants or enclosing a seating area that you still want to feel open and bright. Its waterproof material and tear-resistant design suit everyday outdoor coverage, while six-line reinforced edge stitching and reinforced corners support the areas used for fastening.

Buyer feedback is positive about the tarp’s quality overall, though comments on wind resistance are mixed. Some buyers describe good durability, while others report vinyl pulling away from the border. Secure attachment through the grommets is especially relevant when setting it up outdoors.
