MTEXYMG MTEXYMG-stove top cover-01 Silicone Stove Cover, 28 x 20-Inch Non-Slip Mat

A non-slip base helps keep this 28 x 20-inch cover in place while shielding a glass or electric stovetop from scratches and spills. It gives the range a useful role as extra kitchen surface when the cooktop is not in use.

The cover is designed for more than stovetop protection. Use it as a sink drain mat, countertop protector, hot-dish placemat, or pet food mat to support different everyday kitchen tasks.

Its basket-fruit design adds a decorative detail, while the rectangular shape provides a broad surface for drying or organizing kitchen items.

What stands out

The dual-layer construction pairs a silicone cover with a thick natural rubber base. The non-slip coating helps hold the mat steady and reduces unwanted shifting across the stove surface. That stable grip is useful when setting down kitchen items or using the cover as a work surface, and the protective layer helps guard against scratches, spills, and heat damage.

With heat resistance up to 400°F, the mat can also serve as a placemat for hot dishes. For a different kitchen need, place it by the sink as a drain mat or use it beneath pet bowls. These multiple roles make it a practical choice for households that want one flexible mat rather than a separate product for each task.

The essentials

The rectangular cover measures 28 x 20 inches and is intended for glass and electric stoves. Its size creates extra counter space for meal prep, serving, or keeping kitchen essentials organized while the stove is not in use. The basket-fruit pattern gives the surface a distinct look without changing its everyday function.

This is a cover and multipurpose mat, not something to leave on an active electric range: do not place it on the cooktop while the range is on. When the stove is not in use, it can protect the surface and provide a convenient place for kitchen tasks. If your main priority is a dedicated drying rack, a single-purpose design may better match that need, this mat is suited to buyers who also want stovetop coverage and a reusable countertop surface.

Everyday use

The lightweight, foldable design makes it easier to put away when the mat is not needed. Fold it for storage in a cabinet or drawer, then bring it out for meal prep, serving, sink-side draining, or countertop protection. Its several uses can help keep a kitchen routine flexible without requiring the mat to stay on the stove at all times.

Final verdict

For home cooks and families looking to protect a glass or electric stovetop while adding usable surface space, this mat combines a non-slip rubber base, a 28 x 20-inch rectangular format, and several practical kitchen uses. It is especially useful when a single cover needs to move between the range, sink, and countertop, keep it off the electric cooktop whenever the range is on.
