LOUTOC XRT140 Replacement Remote for VIZIO TVs with Infrared and 6 Shortcuts
Product description
Infrared control and six app shortcuts give the LOUTOC XRT140 a straightforward role as a replacement remote for a compatible VIZIO TV. Its glossy ABS plastic body uses button controls rather than a touchscreen. Would a simple replacement be more useful than a universal remote that needs setup? This model is presented as ready to use after adding two AAA batteries.
Who it’s for
The XRT140 is intended for VIZIO LED, LCD, HD, UHD, HDR, SmartCast, 4K, 3D, and smart TVs. Listed TV families include D-Series, E-Series, M-Series, P-Series, PX-Series, V-Series, and OLED-Series. It is also described as compatible with several remote models, including XRT136, XRT112, XRT122, XRT260, XRT302, XRT135, XRT510, XRT500, XRT100, VR1, VR2, VR10, and VR15. Those references can help when replacing an existing remote, but the TV’s own compatibility is the key consideration.
It’s a great fit if you want a button-based replacement for a VIZIO TV and expect to use the included shortcuts for frequently accessed apps. The listing does not name the apps assigned to those buttons, so don’t assume they match particular services. It may not suit you if you need a remote for equipment beyond a television, the compatible-device information specifies TV use.
What you’ll notice day to day
The remote sends commands over infrared, so it needs to be aimed toward the TV’s remote sensor. The product instructions also say to avoid obstacles between the remote and the sensor. That’s a familiar setup for a conventional TV remote, but it differs from control methods that don’t depend on pointing at the device.
The six shortcut buttons are intended to provide quicker access to popular channels or apps, while the remaining button controls cover everyday operation. The glossy plastic finish is a design detail, not evidence of a particular lifespan. If you’re replacing a lost or damaged remote, matching the TV’s compatibility is more useful than choosing a remote solely because it looks similar to the original.

Questions before you buy
Will it work with any VIZIO television? The listing claims compatibility across the VIZIO TV types and series named above, but does not give a separate list of every individual TV model.
Does it need programming? The instructions describe inserting two new 1.5V AAA batteries and pointing the remote at the TV sensor. They do not describe a programming procedure.
How far away can it work? The listed maximum range is 40 feet. Because it uses infrared, aim it at the TV and keep the path to the sensor clear.
When it makes sense
Choose the XRT140 when you need a direct, button-based VIZIO TV replacement and its stated compatibility matches your set. Its appeal is the combination of familiar infrared control and six shortcuts, rather than broad control of multiple kinds of home equipment. If you’re considering it as a substitute for a specific original remote, compare the compatible model references and TV series before choosing, the listing does not identify the apps behind the shortcuts or detail every button’s function.
