JOEJOY PET-Black-001 Elevated Dog Car Seat, Memory Foam, Washable Cover

Strengths

A compact dog bed and a dedicated car seat serve different needs. The JOEJOY PET-Black-001 is designed to give a small or medium dog a raised place to ride, with a listed weight limit of 35 pounds. It can also be used indoors or outdoors, so it may suit owners who want a travel bed that has more than one setting. One point to weigh: buyer feedback on how securely it stays in place and how the straps fit is mixed.

The seat measures 19 x 18 x 18.5 inches and is described as raising a dog 5 inches above the vehicle seat. That raised position is intended to give pets a better view, while the memory foam provides a cushioned surface. The two-sided cover is described as short plush on one side and faux leather on the other, offering different surface options for changing conditions. These features make it more purpose-built for car trips than a flat pet blanket, though the listed dimensions and weight limit still matter when deciding whether your dog can settle comfortably.

Highlights

For installation, the instructions describe threading the vehicle seat belt through openings at the bottom and attaching the top strap to the headrest. A non-slip bottom and adjustable safety belts are also listed. The built-in belts are intended to attach to a dog’s harness, they should not be treated as a substitute for checking the fit of the seat and restraint in your own vehicle. The seat is described for front or rear car seats, and the product details also list use in SUVs and trucks.

Side pockets provide a place for small travel items such as treats or toys. The seat can also serve as a resting spot at home or outdoors, which may be useful if you want to bring along a familiar bed rather than pack a separate one. The listing says it can accommodate one dog up to 35 pounds or two small dogs up to 15 pounds, measure your pet and compare the available space before choosing it.

Buyer comments are favorable about size, fit and the safety features, with some saying it suits two small dogs. Feedback on construction and stability is less consistent: some customers find it sturdy and secure, while others describe it as flimsy or report that it does not stay in place well. Several also mention that the straps may be too small for their seat belt buckle. Those differences make checking the buckle and installation arrangement especially relevant.

Cleaning & care

The cover is removable and machine washable, according to the product details. Removing it for washing is a practical feature for a bed used on regular drives, but the provided information does not specify wash temperature or drying instructions. Follow the care label on the cover rather than assuming a particular cycle. Straps are included, and the listing does not say that they are machine washable.

What to clarify

What size dog is this seat intended for? It is listed for small and medium dogs up to 35 pounds. The product description also mentions two small dogs up to 15 pounds, so check the seat’s 19 x 18 inch footprint against the space your pets need.

Can it be used in the front or back of a vehicle? The directions list both front and rear car seats. The product description also names SUVs and trucks, but fit depends on your vehicle’s seat and belt arrangement.

How is it installed and cleaned? The seat belt is routed through openings underneath, with the top strap attached to the headrest. The cover unzips for machine washing, specific wash settings are not provided.

Final verdict

A solid pick if you want a raised, cushioned car seat that can double as a home or outdoor bed and fits within the stated size and weight guidance. It’s not for you if you need consistently reported stability or a confirmed fit with a particular seat belt buckle: customer experiences on both points vary. Compared with a basic flat bed, its raised design, attachment straps and storage pockets add car-focused features, but checking the measurements and your vehicle’s belt setup is central to deciding whether this one fits your needs.
