JOEJOY PB251211 Orthopedic Dog Bed, 42 x 32-Inch Oval with Egg-Crate Foam

For an older dog settling in for a nap, this oval bed combines a supportive foam surface with raised bolsters and an open front for easier entry. Its 42 x 32-inch footprint gives a large dog room to rest, while the removable cover and water-resistant construction help with everyday care. The dark gray design and textured cover also suit a comfortable indoor resting spot.

Fit and sizing

This XL bed measures 42 x 32 x 7 inches and is listed for dogs up to 70 pounds. The usable sleep area is 36 x 26 inches, so compare that space with how your dog likes to curl up or stretch out. The oval shape provides a defined resting area, and the open-front design gives a senior dog a lower entry point than the raised sides. Bolsters along the edges create a place to rest the head and neck, while leaving room to stretch through the front.

Benefits

Egg-crate foam forms the bed’s orthopedic-style support surface. Its contoured shape is designed to support a senior dog’s resting posture and help relieve pressure around joints. Raised bolster sides add a cushioned edge for dogs that like to lean or rest their head against the bed, the open front keeps access clear.

The honeycomb velvet cover has a soft, textured surface, and its removable zipper design makes it easier to take off for machine washing. A waterproof TPU coating inside the outer cover helps protect the foam from spills and accidents. The non-skid bottom helps keep the bed in place on indoor floors during everyday use. Together, these details make it a practical resting place for older dogs that need an easy-access bed and a cover designed for regular care.

Buyers often describe the bed as soft and cozy, and some say their dogs took to it readily. Feedback on size and washability is mixed, so the listed sleep area is a useful reference when choosing a bed and planning how it will fit into your care routine.
