The product information also describes coconut-shell carbon and BPA-free materials, and says the filter is intended to retain beneficial minerals. This is an ICEPURE replacement part, not a filter made by Samsung.

Everyday use

The main decision is fit. The listed compatible refrigerators include models such as RF28HMEDBSR, RF263BEAESR, RS25J500DSR, and RF4287HARS, among many others. The product information also identifies replacement references including DA29-00020B and HAF-CIN/EXP. Refrigerator model numbers can look very similar, so match the full model designation against the compatibility information rather than relying on the brand name alone.

For a household that uses its refrigerator dispenser or ice maker regularly, a three-pack can make it easier to keep replacement filters available. It suits buyers looking for an alternative to a filter sold under the refrigerator maker’s own label, provided the fit and filtration claims meet their needs. It is not a universal refrigerator filter, compatibility is limited to the models and references listed for this item.

Getting the most from it

Install only after confirming the refrigerator model and filter reference. Follow the supplied instructions and the refrigerator’s guidance for replacing and preparing a filter, the information here does not specify a replacement schedule or flushing procedure. After installation, pay attention to the connection and check for leaks before relying on the dispenser or ice maker as usual.

Buyer feedback commonly highlights fit, easier installation, and improved-tasting water. Reports about leakage and how long the filter lasts are mixed, however: some buyers describe trouble-free use, while others mention slow leaks or a shorter lifespan. Those experiences are not a substitute for checking the connection and monitoring the filter in your own refrigerator.

Practical questions

Which refrigerators does it fit? The listing names a wide range of Samsung models, including RF28HMEDBSR, RF263BEAESR, and RS25J500DSR. Confirm your exact model number against the compatibility list before ordering.

What does the filter claim to reduce? The product information cites chlorine, taste, and odor reduction, and identifies NSF/ANSI 42 for reducing aesthetic impurities. It does not establish that the filter removes every contaminant.

How many filters are included? The set contains three replacement filters, useful if you want additional replacements ready for later changes.

Is it worth it?

Worth considering if your refrigerator is on the compatibility list and you want a three-pack of an independently branded replacement filter with stated NSF/ANSI 42 certification. The reported improvements in taste and fit may appeal to buyers seeking an alternative to the refrigerator maker’s branded filter. Not the best choice if you need a filter with a confirmed long service life or want to avoid any uncertainty about leakage, buyer reports on both points are mixed.
