HOMBYS 6SFHM26261P Couch Cushion Insert, 6-Inch Thick, 26" x 26

For a sofa or chair that needs a 26" x 26" replacement seat insert, this HOMBYS cushion combines high-density foam with a polyester batting wrap. The wrap gives the insert a finished, cushioned exterior. A removable cover with a zipper makes it easier to access the insert when fitting it into upholstery.

How it fits

Designed for indoor upholstery padding, this square insert measures 26" x 26" and is 6 inches thick. Use it to renew a sofa or chair cushion, or add padding to an ottoman, stool, window seat, headboard, or workout bench. It can also serve in RV, boat, and car seats, golf cart seats, cots, and cases for delicate items. Measure the existing cushion space and compare it with these dimensions to choose the right fit.

Unlike adding loose batting to an existing cushion, this is a complete foam insert wrapped in polyester batting. That construction combines the cushioning core and outer wrap in one replacement piece. For a practical refresh, remove the old insert, place the new cushion into the upholstery cover, and arrange the corners to fit the shape of the cover.

Pros

The high-density foam core is designed for furniture replacement, while the polyester batting helps the cushion look fuller and smooths the transition beneath the cover. A removable zippered cover provides a layer between the insert and everyday dust or dirt, and lets you take the cover off when accessing the cushion. The listed firmness is medium, making this a useful choice for replacing a worn seat with a structured cushion rather than simply adding a thin layer of padding.

Buyer feedback is positive about comfort and fit, with some customers saying the insert sits securely inside a cushion cover. Opinions on firmness differ: some appreciate the support, while others find it too stiff. Reports on size and thickness are also mixed, so matching the stated dimensions to your cushion space is an important part of selecting the replacement.

Is it worth it?

This HOMBYS insert suits a furniture refresh where a complete, wrapped cushion is more useful than adding separate padding to an existing foam core.
