Happi N Pets DB18HS Cat Scratching Post with Sisal, Carpet and Pom-Pom Toy

At 21.6 inches tall, the Happi N Pets DB18HS gives indoor cats a vertical place to scratch and stretch. Its 13.8-by-13.8-inch base keeps the footprint compact for a corner or apartment space.

Two scratching textures bring sisal and carpet together, so cats can choose between a rope-like surface and a softer fabric one. The base is covered in plush, and the light gray color keeps the look neutral.

A dangling pom-pom adds a play element, and a replacement toy is included. This setup combines scratching and play in one floor-mounted post for kittens and small to medium cats.

Requirements

The post is intended for indoor use and sits on the floor. Its 21.6-inch height and 13.8-inch-square base suit a small, defined spot, such as beside a favorite resting place or in a room where your cat already spends time. The product is recommended for kittens and small to medium cats.

Assembly uses the included hardware and instructions to attach the post to its base. Once set up, it offers a dedicated vertical scratching surface rather than relying on a single flat scratch pad. The engineered-wood base has anti-slip and tip-resistant features, helping keep the post steady during everyday scratching and play.

Usage tips

Place the post where your cat can reach it easily during normal indoor routines. Its two different textures offer an alternative to a single-material scratcher: sisal provides a distinct rope surface, while carpet gives cats another feel to explore. That variety can make the post useful in a home with a cat that shows interest in more than one kind of scratching surface.

The hanging pom-pom gives cats a target for batting and play alongside the scratching areas. If the original toy wears out, the included replacement offers another option for continued interaction. Would a scratcher that also invites play work well in your cat’s usual space? This design brings both activities together without needing a separate toy stand.

Buyers often praise cats’ interest in the post and its straightforward assembly. Feedback on durability and perceived size is mixed, so consider the listed dimensions when choosing a spot and matching the post to your cat.

Buying verdict

For indoor-cat owners choosing between a basic single-texture post and a scratcher with more than one surface, the DB18HS brings sisal, carpet, and an interactive toy into one compact floor setup. Its defined footprint and kitten-to-medium-cat recommendation make it a practical fit for everyday scratching and play in a smaller home area. A solid pick if you want to give your cat both texture options and a hanging toy in one piece of cat furniture.
