GUSTARIA American Mahjong Tiles, 166 Light Blue Melamine Tiles, 1.2-Inch

The 166 light blue melamine tiles give an American Mahjong game a complete set of pieces in a portable format. Each tile stands 1.2 inches high and has engraved English letters and Arabic numerals, making the markings easy to identify during play.

Made for four-player games, this tiles-only set is suited to at-home play, gatherings, or taking a game along on a trip.

The essentials

This set contains 166 tiles for American Mahjong, including dots, bams, cracks, dragons, winds, flowers, jokers, and blank spares. Their classic engraved markings bring the tile identities into clear view as players build and read the game. The light blue color gives the set a distinctive look, while the melamine construction is described as scratch-resistant for regular handling during play.

At 1.2 × 0.9 × 0.7 inches per tile, they’re described as standard American Mahjong size. The set is designed for four players and recommended for ages 13 and up. It includes the tiles only, making it a practical choice for players who already have the other game pieces they use or want to select those separately. Compared with buying a complete game setup, this set focuses on the tiles themselves.

Buyers often praise the blue appearance and the legibility of the engravings, and some mention taking the tiles on trips. Some also report an unpleasant smell, alongside positive comments about the feel and enjoyment of play.

How to take care of it

The tiles can be rinsed or wiped with a cloth, so routine cleanup after a game is straightforward. Dry them before putting them away, and keep the set together between sessions to make setup easier the next time friends or family gather around the table.

Who it’s for

This set is for American Mahjong players who need a full collection of tiles for four-player games, including families and groups who meet for game nights, parties, or holiday gatherings. The engraved letters and numbers support quick visual identification during play, while the portable design makes the set suitable for bringing along when a game is planned away from home. You’ll appreciate it if you want a dedicated set of American Mahjong tiles rather than a package built around extra accessories.
