Goldenwarm Interior Privacy Door Knobs, 6-Pack

For homeowners updating bedroom or bathroom doors, these Goldenwarm privacy knobs offer a matching matte-black look across six doors without adding a keyed lock. The lock works with a turn button on the inside, while a release tool can unlock it from the outside in an emergency. They’re designed for straightforward installation in an existing hole, so the main decision is whether your doors match the listed thickness and backset measurements. If you’re replacing several knobs at once, the pack format also makes a coordinated finish easier to achieve than buying mismatched pieces one at a time.

Best use cases

These knobs suit interior rooms where a basic level of privacy matters, especially bedrooms and bathrooms. Picture closing a bedroom door for a call, or turning the button before stepping into a bathroom: the lock is operated from the room side, without carrying or managing a key. The matte-black finish and clean lines are intended to work with modern or classic interiors, so the set can make sense when you want a consistent look on multiple doors rather than a single standout hardware piece.

This is a privacy lock, not a keyed entry solution. For rooms where access needs to be controlled with a key, a different lock type would be a more appropriate choice. The included emergency release tool provides an outside release, but the product details don’t specify additional security features.

Product specs

The knobs are made from rust-resistant stainless steel and come in a six-pack. The adjustable latch is specified for either a 2 3/8-inch or 2 3/4-inch backset, and the hardware fits doors from 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 inches thick. Measure both the door thickness and the distance from the door edge to the center of the existing knob hole before ordering, a mismatch in either dimension can prevent a straightforward fit.

Installation is intended for an existing hole and requires a screwdriver. The knobs are reversible for right- or left-hand doors. They have no keys: the inside turn button locks the door, and the provided release tool can open it from the outside in an emergency. On the spec sheet, that makes them a practical fit for everyday room privacy, rather than a substitute for keyed security hardware.

Where it shines

The main convenience is combining a simple privacy mechanism with a finish that can be repeated across several interior doors. Instead of choosing a basic passage knob that cannot lock, you get a turn-button lock for rooms where privacy is useful. The reversible design also avoids having to select a separate left- or right-hand version, while the adjustable latch covers the two listed backsets.

You’ll appreciate it if you’re refreshing multiple bedroom or bathroom doors and want a consistent black finish with an inside-operated lock. The stainless-steel construction is described as rust-resistant and designed for regular use, though the details don’t provide a specific durability rating or maintenance guidance.

When it makes sense

Choose this set when your doors fall within the stated measurements and you need privacy rather than key access. A practical example: if several bedroom doors already have holes for knobs, you can replace the hardware with a coordinated set using a screwdriver, then use the turn button as needed. The emergency release tool is also relevant for a privacy lock on a bathroom or bedroom door.

Better avoided if your door thickness or backset falls outside the listed range, or if you need a keyed lock or documented security ratings. The listing gives fit dimensions and the basic operation, but not finish-care instructions or a quantified service-life guarantee. Those details matter if you’re comparing this with more specialized hardware, for a straightforward interior privacy update, the deciding checks are the measurements, the no-key design, and whether the matte-black style suits the room.
