Veise Fingerprint Smart Lock, Matte Black

Key specifications

The VE07-H pairs fingerprint entry with a handle-set deadbolt, so getting inside can take a touch instead of a key or code. The manufacturer lists fingerprint unlocking at 0.3 seconds and says the lock can store up to 50 fingerprints, with fingerprint access managed through its app.

It also supports codes, app access, eKeys, fobs, a mechanical key, Apple Watch, and a web portal. The touchscreen keypad supports more than 250 access codes, while auto-lock can be set from 5 to 900 seconds. Other listed features include privacy and passage modes, low-battery alerts, an anti-peeping keypad, IP54 protection, and ANSI/BHMA Grade 3 certification.

Who it’s for

This setup makes the most sense for a household that wants different ways to let family, guests, or temporary visitors in. Fingerprint access can be handy when you’re carrying groceries, while timed or one-time codes give visitors access without handing over a physical key. The app also lets you add or remove fingerprints and manage passwords and access rights.

It suits you if you want keyless entry but still value a mechanical key as a backup. Not the best choice if remote access is essential and you don’t want to add a separate gateway: the lock’s built-in Bluetooth range is listed as 2 meters, and remote control requires the Veise G2 Gateway, sold separately. The product description does not provide door-fit measurements, so confirm the lock’s fit for your existing door without that measurement.

Everyday use

Picture arriving home with both hands full: fingerprint entry offers a quick alternative to putting everything down to find a key. For a cleaner or a visiting relative, a code can be more practical than enrolling another fingerprint. The listing describes options for permanent, recurring, timed, custom, and one-time codes, which helps match access to different schedules.

There are several ways to lock the door, including auto-lock, the app, the keypad, the thumb turn, and the backup key. That flexibility is useful if household members have different habits, though it also means setup and access management happen across several methods rather than one simple key. App control and logs are available, but voice control and remote access depend on the separately sold G2 Gateway, Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility is listed for use with that gateway.

Before you decide

Can you unlock it without a fingerprint? Yes. The listed methods include an app, Apple Watch, web portal, codes, eKeys, fobs, and a mechanical key.

Does remote access work by itself? The lock has built-in Bluetooth, but the listing says remote access requires the Veise G2 Gateway, sold separately.

Is it intended for outdoor use? The description lists an IP54 rating and says the design is made to withstand rain, wind, and sun. Check that the lock’s fit and installation suit your particular door before choosing it.

Buying verdict

The VE07-H is worth considering if you’ll use its mix of fingerprint entry and flexible codes, especially in a home where visitors need access at different times. Its backup key and multiple locking methods add alternatives to app-based entry. If you mainly want remote unlocking or voice control, factor in the separate gateway, if you only need a straightforward keypad deadbolt, the extra access options may be more than you need.
