Glorious Gaming Mouse Pad GMP 2

A mouse pad that shifts during a tense match or catches a small spill can interrupt your focus. The Glorious Gaming Mouse Pad GMP 2 combines a micro-weave surface with a grippy rubber base, aiming to keep mouse movement smooth and the pad steady. Its spill-resistant surface is designed to make everyday accidents easier to deal with, while the extended format gives your mouse more room than a compact pad. The tradeoff is a fixed footprint, so it’s worth matching the dimensions to your desk before choosing.

Key specifications

The GMP 2 measures 610mm x 355mm x 3mm. Its precision micro-weave surface is designed to balance glide and control, and the maker says it tracks accurately with any mouse. That broad compatibility may appeal if you switch between mice or don’t want to choose a pad around a specific sensor. The grippy rubber base is intended to hold on wood, glass, and laminate surfaces, while the edgeless design keeps the pad’s edges free of stitching.

The spill-resistant barrier makes liquid bead on the surface for easier cleanup, it is not a reason to treat the pad as fully waterproof. The size is also a practical constraint: it provides an extended mouse area, but the listed dimensions won’t suit every desk layout. On the spec sheet, the 3mm thickness is a relatively low-profile detail to consider if you prefer a thicker surface.

Who it’s for

This pad is aimed at gamers who want consistent mouse movement with room for wider sweeps, without giving up control for speed. It can also suit a shared desk setup where the mouse area needs to stay in place during everyday use. Picture making a quick turn in a game: the surface is meant to let the mouse move freely while the rubber underside resists sliding across the desk.

It suits you if you want a single extended surface for mouse movement and value a balance between glide and precision. Compared with a small pad focused on minimizing desk coverage, this format gives you more working area, compared with a more demanding, highly specialized surface, its appeal is the stated blend of speed and control rather than a single movement style. It might not be a great match if your available desk space is limited or you specifically want a thicker pad.

Everyday use

There are no box contents listed, so the useful decision point is how the pad fits into your setup. Measure the intended area against 610mm x 355mm, including space for your keyboard or other desk items, before settling on this size. The rubber base is described as gripping wood, glass, and laminate, which helps clarify the intended surfaces, though no details are given for other materials. For spills, the stated benefit is that liquid beads for easier cleanup, not that the pad can be submerged or washed in a particular way.

Practical doubts

Will it work with different mice? The product description says the surface tracks accurately with any mouse, so it is not presented as limited to a particular sensor or model.

Does it stay in place? Its rubber base is designed to grip wood, glass, and laminate, helping resist movement during play.

What happens if a drink spills? The surface is described as spill-resistant, with liquid beading for easier cleanup. That wording does not establish that the pad is waterproof.

Is it worth it?

The GMP 2 makes sense if you want an extended mouse pad with a stated speed-and-control balance, a grippy base, and some resistance to everyday spills. Its clearest advantage over a basic compact pad is the larger mouse area, its main compromise is that the size and thickness are fixed. Choose it when the 610mm x 355mm footprint fits your desk and that blend of glide, control, and steadiness matches how you play. Look elsewhere if you need a smaller footprint, a thicker surface, or specific performance details beyond those provided.
