Aothia Desk Pad, 25.6 x 13.7 Inches

Quick overview

Some desk setups need a soft, broad surface for a keyboard, laptop, and mouse, others are better served by a smaller mat that leaves more of the desktop exposed. This Aothia desk pad measures 25.6 x 13.7 inches and has two usable sides: natural cork on one face and PU leather on the other. The reversible format lets you choose the surface that suits your workspace without keeping a separate mouse pad on hand.

The cork backing is FSC-certified, and the leather side is described as waterproof and easy to wipe clean. At 0.08 inches thick, it adds a little cushioning without being a bulky desk accessory.

Cleaning & care

For everyday marks on the PU leather side, the product description recommends wiping the surface with a cloth or a wet wipe. That makes it a practical choice for a desk where coffee rings, dust, or pen smudges are a concern. The leather face is also presented as waterproof, though that should not be taken to mean the entire mat can be soaked or washed, no full-mat washing instructions are provided.

The cork side is described as sweat-absorbent, durable, and resistant to tearing. Keep in mind that the two faces have different properties: the easy-cleaning and waterproof claims apply to the leather surface, so choose that side when quick wipe-downs matter most.

Practical tips

At this size, the pad can fit a laptop, keyboard, mouse, and journal, depending on how much room those items take up on your desk. A useful setup is to place the keyboard near the back edge, leave the mouse on the mat beside it, and keep a notebook within reach. The smooth PU leather surface is also intended for writing and painting, while the cork face offers a different feel under your hands and accessories.

It suits you if you want one reversible desk protector that can also serve as a mouse surface. If your priority is covering a wider work area, the listing gives larger size options, including 35.4 x 15.7 inches and 37.8 x 17 inches. It might not be a great match if you need a precisely specified fit for a particular desk: the product information lists several sizes, so make sure the selected option is the 25.6 x 13.7-inch version if that is the one you want. The listed thickness is 0.08 inches, so this is a desk layer, not a thick cushioned mat.

Questions before you buy

Does it replace a separate mouse pad? The description says the smooth surface works as a mouse pad, so it is designed to cover that role as well as protect the desktop.

Can I use either side? Yes. One side is natural cork and the other is PU leather, so the pad is reversible.

Is the whole mat waterproof? The waterproof claim is specifically made for the leather surface. The listing does not say that the cork side is waterproof.

Buying verdict

This desk pad makes sense if you want a reversible surface with a wipe-clean leather face, a cork side, and enough room for a compact everyday work setup. Its dual-sided design is more flexible than buying a basic single-surface protector, while the listed size remains smaller than the larger versions in the same product range. Choose it for a defined laptop-and-keyboard area, skip this size if you need one mat to cover a broad desktop or want waterproof protection on both sides.
