Geamen MQ-01 Automatic Cat Ball, Rechargeable Toy with Bird Sounds and 3 Speeds

At 1.79 x 2.08 x 2 inches, the Geamen MQ-01 is a compact rolling ball for indoor cats. Its automatic movement and three speed modes give cats different ways to chase and play. Bird sounds add an extra cue to follow, and a double tap lets you mute them when you want quieter play.

How to use it

Choose a play mode to suit your cat: Interactive Mode is intended for adult cats, High-Speed Mode for energetic chases or gentler play, and Slow Mode for kittens. Set the ball on a suitable indoor surface and let its movement invite your cat to follow, chase, and pounce. It rolls on tile, hardwood, and carpet, expect slower movement on carpet than on hard floors in the same mode.

The ball is rechargeable, and the included USB cable is used for charging. It enters sleep mode after 3 minutes of inactivity, touch it to wake it within 2 hours. For quieter sessions, double-tap the button to turn the chirping bird sounds on or off. The surface can be wiped with a clean cloth, and the C-shaped cover can be removed to clear away fur.

What you’ll notice day to day

Unlike a stationary toy that depends on you to move it, this automatic ball rolls to create an ongoing chase for indoor play. The sound can help draw a cat’s attention, while the choice of speeds makes it easier to tailor play to a kitten or an adult cat. Three interchangeable tails provide different teaser styles, and their flexible, nylon-reinforced joints are designed to handle biting, scratching, and pulling.

Buyers often describe the toy as engaging, noting that its movement and bird sounds encourage cats to chase and stay curious. They also appreciate that it is rechargeable and that the sound can be muted. Feedback on reliability is mixed, with some buyers reporting that their toy stopped working soon after use, so experiences vary.

What matters most

This toy combines movement, sound, and adjustable speed in one small format, making it a practical choice when you want to add interactive play to an indoor cat’s routine. The slower setting is intended for kittens, while the other modes offer different pacing for adult cats and active chases. If you’re choosing between a simple ball and an automatic toy, the MQ-01 adds self-directed rolling and switchable bird sounds. Its use is for indoor play, across hard floors and carpets, with movement that varies by surface.
