Retro Shaw Cat String Toys Cat Chew Ropes, 3-Pack with Catnip, 23.6-Inch

A catnip pouch adds an enticing scent to these long cotton-and-sisal ropes, giving indoor cats a tactile toy for batting, chewing, and kicking. Each rope measures 23.6 inches, so there’s plenty to grab during interactive play. Looking for a toy that encourages hands-on play without bells or squeakers? This three-pack offers a simple rope-and-catnip alternative.

Highlights

The set includes three cat chew ropes and a reusable pouch pre-filled with catnip. Put a rope inside the closed pouch overnight when you want to refresh its scent, then keep the pouch to refill with your own catnip or silvervine. That refillable design gives the pouch a useful role beyond the first play session.

The ropes are made with cotton and sisal, and the product details describe a tightly woven cotton construction designed to resist fraying. Their soft, lightweight feel and tassels give cats different places to bite and grab. With no squeakers or bells, they suit homes where a quieter, tactile toy is preferable to a sound-making option.

Use a rope for tug-of-war or fetch, or leave it out for solo batting and wrestling. The 23.6-inch length gives a cat room to kick and bite during play, while the three-piece set makes it easy to keep a rope in more than one play area. Customers often describe the ropes as engaging and enjoyable to chew, feedback on cat interest is mixed, as individual cats have different preferences.

Best use cases

These ropes are intended for indoor cats and can support short interactive play sessions as well as independent play. Try dragging one across the floor to invite a chase, or offer it for kicking and wrestling when your cat is in an energetic mood. The catnip scent and textured rope provide a different kind of play from toys centered on lights, motion, or sound: the appeal here is scent, grip, and physical interaction.

For kittens, the ropes are described as suitable for teething, and the product is listed for all life stages. They can also be used by adult cats who enjoy chewing or carrying soft toys. The set is a practical fit for owners who want several rope toys and a reusable way to refresh their catnip play routine.

Who it’s for

This set is for cat owners seeking a straightforward indoor toy for chewing, pouncing, batting, and interactive games. It may be especially appealing to cats drawn to catnip and toys they can grab with their paws and teeth. The included pouch lets owners re-scent the ropes with catnip or silvervine, so play can be refreshed without changing to a different toy style.

Customer feedback commonly highlights cats’ engagement and the ropes’ sturdiness, while some buyers report that their cats show little interest. Opinions about size also vary. A solid pick if your cat enjoys rope textures and catnip, and you want a three-piece set for both shared and solo play.

Buying verdict

Choose the Retro Shaw ropes for a scent-led, hands-on play option rather than a toy built around bells or squeakers. The three 23.6-inch ropes offer room for kicking and grabbing, and the reusable catnip pouch adds flexibility for future play sessions. For indoor cats who enjoy chewing, chasing, or wrestling with soft toys, this set brings several familiar play activities together in one simple format.
