Filterbuy HRF20x25x5M8=CARpk2 MERV 8 Pleated HVAC Air Filter, 2-Pack

If you need a replacement filter for a compatible furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, or HVAC system, this two-pack offers MERV 8 filtration in a pleated design. Its nominal size is 20 x 25 x 5, with an actual size of 19.88 x 24.75 x 4.38 inches. Choose it for standard particle filtration, for a different need, such as addressing smoke or odors, a filter with a rating suited to that purpose is a separate consideration.

Worth noting

The MERV 8 synthetic media is designed to capture dust, pollen, lint, and mold particles. Product information states that it captures 90% of dust, giving you a practical option for routine filtration in a home or business. The electrostatically charged media has eight pleats per foot, providing a pleated alternative to basic fiberglass filters, the manufacturer says it lasts three times longer than fiberglass models.

A beverage-board frame with dual wire backing supports the filter’s construction, and the frame is described as recyclable. The slide-in format is intended for replacement use in compatible systems. This pack contains two filters, making it useful to have a spare ready for the next change. Buyers often mention straightforward installation and effective everyday performance, while feedback on fit, size accuracy, and build quality is mixed. Match the actual dimensions and the filter’s compatibility to your system before installing.

Size & fit

The 20 x 25 x 5 label is the nominal size, the exact dimensions are 19.88 x 24.75 x 4.38 inches. That distinction matters because the filter needs to match the space in your HVAC housing. It is listed for air cleaners, air conditioners, furnaces, HVAC systems, and heat pumps, and is compatible with systems including Honeywell FC100A1037 and Lennox X6673. The listed applications span residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems.

When replacing a filter, use the size printed on your existing filter or measure its length, width, and depth. Insert the new one in the direction of airflow indicated by your system. These simple checks help ensure the replacement matches the intended filter slot and orientation.

Who it’s for

This Filterbuy two-pack suits households and businesses looking for routine MERV 8 filtration in a compatible 20 x 25 x 5 nominal-size system. It can help capture common particles such as dust and pollen during normal furnace, air-conditioning, or heat-pump use. The two-filter format is also useful when you prefer to keep the next replacement on hand rather than shop for a single filter each time.

It makes sense if you want a pleated replacement with a clearly stated MERV rating and dimensions, rather than choosing by nominal size alone. Buyers’ comments frequently highlight easy replacement and useful performance, fit and construction impressions vary, so the actual measurements are especially relevant when selecting this filter.

Is it worth it?

For a system that calls for this size and a MERV 8 filter, the main appeal is a straightforward combination: pleated synthetic media for common airborne particles, a reinforced frame, and two filters in one pack. Its stated compatibility with select Honeywell and Lennox filters can also help identify it as a replacement for certain setups. If your priority is standard dust and allergen filtration for a compatible HVAC system, this pack offers a specific size and rating to guide your choice.
