EX Rechargeable Chromatic Clip-On Tuner with Color LCD for Guitar, Bass & More

The black ABS+PC body gives this rechargeable tuner a compact, low-profile clip-on format. A silicone-padded clip attaches to an instrument, while the color LCD displays the tuning needle. It supports acoustic guitar, bass, ukulele, and violin. USB-C charging keeps the tuner ready for your next practice session or performance.

Getting the most from it

Clip the tuner onto an instrument’s headstock, select a mode, and tune using the on-screen needle. The vibration sensor detects pitch through the instrument, so the tuning setup does not rely on an instrument cable. Choose from Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele modes to match your instrument, or use the chromatic setting for a broader range of notes. Calibration is adjustable from 435–450 Hz, which lets you set the reference pitch for your tuning needs.

The silicone-padded clip rotates 135° forward and backward and swivels 360°, making it easier to angle the display toward you while playing. Its padded contact points are designed to grip without scratching the instrument. For a practice-room setup, clip it on before you start and keep the tuning needle in view as you make adjustments. The same compact approach also suits quick checks between songs or during a lesson.

What you’ll notice day to day

The backlit color LCD and clear tuning needle make pitch information easy to read at a glance, including in dim performance spaces. A lightweight, low-profile design helps keep the tuner in place during play, and the adjustable viewing angle lets you position the screen around your preferred playing posture. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery connects through USB-C, so the tuner can be charged between sessions instead of relying on disposable batteries.

Compared with a tuner that needs a cable connection, this clip-on design gives you a direct, instrument-mounted way to check tuning. That’s useful when moving between instruments or setting up without adding a cable to your playing area. Its four modes and compatibility with guitar, bass, ukulele, and violin make it practical for musicians who tune more than one instrument.

Worth noting

The tuner combines an ABS+PC body with silicone on the clip, balancing a low-profile form with padded contact against the instrument. Buyers appreciate its ease of use and rechargeable design, while feedback about functionality and tuning is mixed. The display also receives mixed comments: some value its brightness, while others find it harder to see in daylight. These perspectives may be useful when choosing between a screen-based clip-on tuner and a simpler tuning format.

Before you decide

Which instruments can it tune? It is compatible with acoustic guitar, bass, ukulele, and violin. Its modes include Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, and Chromatic.

Can I adjust the reference pitch? Yes. Calibration can be set from 435–450 Hz, allowing you to select a reference within that range.

When it makes sense

It makes sense if you want one compact tuner for several instruments and prefer to read a tuning needle on a color screen. The swiveling, padded clip supports an easy-to-position setup, while the selectable modes and adjustable calibration give you useful control for practice, lessons, and stage preparation.
