Practical tips

Connect the feeder to Wi-Fi and use the app to set feeding times, the app also supports sharing device access with multiple family members. The feeding plans are stored on the feeder, so a temporary Wi-Fi interruption does not affect plans already set. If you move it to a different Wi-Fi network, reconnect it to that network through the setup process.

When refilling or repositioning the rotating tray, align Tray 1 with the serving position so the feeder operates as intended. The manufacturer advises not placing food in Tray 1 more than four hours before serving. For setup, plug in the feeder, scan the code to download the app, and follow the quick-start instructions.

Everyday use

This feeder is designed for indoor wet-food feeding, including fresh or homemade portions. Load the compartments ahead of time and schedule meals through the app rather than relying on someone to open each portion at the planned hour. The rotating tray presents the scheduled meal, while the heating feature can warm food before serving. That combination is useful for households with set feeding routines or cats that prefer warmed wet food.

A motion sensor detects when a cat is eating. If no eating is detected for five minutes during a feeding session, the lid closes to help preserve freshness and reopens when the cat approaches. Feeding sessions can be set from 15 minutes to four hours. Multiple feeding plans can be arranged in sequence, allowing the tray to rotate and serve portions more than once in a day.

For a household choosing between manually timed wet-food servings and an automatic feeder, this model brings portion presentation and scheduling together in one device. The five removable steel bowls can be washed individually in a dishwasher, making cleanup a practical part of the routine. App sharing can also help family members coordinate access to the feeder.

Is it worth it?

The EVOTAILS EVT-WFF-202 is a practical fit for cat owners who want scheduled wet-food meals, rather than a feeder focused on dry food. Its key advantage is the combination of five meal compartments with cooling and heat-before-serving features, supported by app scheduling. For cats with established feeding times, or homes where meal portions need to be prepared in advance, it offers a straightforward way to organize servings and keep cleanup manageable with removable stainless-steel bowls.
