ejet 63XL Ink Cartridge 3-Pack, 2 Black and 1 Tri-Color for Select HP Printers

Two black cartridges and one tri-color cartridge give this ejet 63XL pack a practical mix for routine printing: use the black cartridges for text-heavy pages and the color cartridge when a document or image needs color. The set is listed as a replacement for HP 63 and 63XL cartridges and is intended for selected DeskJet, ENVY, and OfficeJet inkjet printers.

The listed compatibility range includes models such as the DeskJet 1112 and 3630, ENVY 4520 and 4512, and OfficeJet 3830, 4650, and 5255. The range is broad, but compatibility is model-specific, buyer feedback also includes reports of printers not recognizing the cartridges.

Best use cases

This pack makes sense for a household or home office that prints a mix of everyday documents and occasional color pages, and whose printer is among the supported models. Having two black cartridges in the box may suit a routine where text printing uses black more often than color. The single tri-color cartridge covers color printing without requiring a separate cartridge for each color.

It is a replacement-cartridge approach rather than an OEM cartridge purchase. Buyers describe the print quality as suitable for everyday use and some praise the color output, while others report that their printer would not recognize the cartridges. That mixed feedback is worth weighing alongside the compatibility list, especially if uninterrupted printing matters.

What you’ll notice day to day

For ordinary documents, the black cartridges are the part of the set most likely to be used regularly, the tri-color cartridge is there for pages that need color. The package is a three-cartridge set, not three complete color sets. Its listed page-yield figures are estimates based on 5% coverage on A4 paper, so they should not be treated as a promise of how many pages a particular household will print.

A solid pick if your exact printer model appears in the supported list and you want a replacement set with two black cartridges. Not the best choice if you need a cartridge with consistently reported recognition across every printer: buyer experiences on compatibility and printability are mixed. Those reports are not a guarantee that a particular unit will fail, but they do make model matching an important part of the decision.

Buying verdict

This set is most relevant when you have a listed HP printer and want a three-cartridge replacement pack weighted toward black printing. The listed yield can help frame expectations, but actual page count depends on print coverage, and buyer comments are divided on cartridge recognition and longevity. Compared with buying an OEM cartridge, this is the replacement option to consider when the compatible-cartridge format and stated printer support fit your needs, choosing an OEM alternative may make more sense if you prefer to avoid the compatibility uncertainty reflected in buyer feedback.
