EduCuties EC22-5R Robot Toy, Pink, Remote and Gesture Control
Product description
Gesture commands and a remote give kids two ways to guide the EduCuties EC22-5R. It walks, dances, sings, speaks, and lights up as it moves. Could programming a sequence make play feel more hands-on? Kids can create and replay combinations of actions, adding a simple introduction to robotics and programming concepts.
Who it’s for
Designed for indoor floor play, this pink robot suits kids who enjoy interactive toys they can control and customize. The listed recommended age range is 36 months to 10 years. Remote control offers a familiar way to direct movement, while gesture control adds another way to send commands, including moving forward or backward and turning left or right. That choice can make it easier to vary play without relying on a single control style.
For a child interested in how robots respond to commands, the programming feature offers a practical next step beyond choosing preset motions. A child can enter a sequence of up to 50 actions and have the robot play it back, such as turns, walking, patrol, and dance moves. The activity connects play with basic ideas about sequencing and programming.

Why it’s worth it
The main distinction is the combination of gesture control and user-programmed playback. A basic remote-only robot lets a child direct individual movements, this one also lets them build a custom action sequence and watch it repeat. That makes it useful for both spontaneous play—choosing a dance or movement—and a more hands-on activity centered on planning a series of commands.
Rechargeable power and the included USB cable provide a straightforward way to charge the robot between play sessions. The remote requires 2 AA batteries, so have those ready for remote-controlled play. Buyers often describe the toy as entertaining and easy to use, and some appreciate it as a way for kids to practice remote-control skills. Feedback on functionality and battery experience is mixed, so individual experiences vary.
