DRINKCLEAR BA9 (DC999) Refrigerator Water Filter, 3-Pack for ULTRAWF

At 11.3 inches high, this DRINKCLEAR replacement filter is listed for refrigerator water and ice dispensers that use compatible cartridges. Its stated material is carbon fiber, and the package contains three filters.

The product is identified as a replacement for ULTRAWF, Pure Source Ultra, Kenmore 9999, and 46-9999 filters. The listing also names a range of compatible refrigerator models, so matching your specific refrigerator is the key step before choosing it.

Each cartridge is described as reducing chlorine to improve water taste. The manufacturer says a filter can be used for up to six months before replacement, though actual replacement timing can depend on your use and water conditions.

Worth noting

This is a three-pack of replacement cartridges, not a refrigerator or a complete water system. The listed dimensions are 7.32 inches deep, 2.59 inches wide, and 11.3 inches high. The product listing states NSF/ANSI 42 certification and describes chlorine and odor reduction, those claims may matter if your main goal is better-tasting water rather than a broader change to your refrigerator setup.

The listed compatible filter references include ULTRAWF, Pure Source Ultra, Kenmore 9999, and 46-9999. Refrigerator model numbers are also provided, but the listing notes that filter references are for identification. You’ll appreciate it if you need a multi-pack replacement for a refrigerator that matches one of the stated models. It may not suit you if you cannot confirm that your refrigerator accepts this cartridge.

How it fits

The cartridge is intended to replace a compatible refrigerator filter, and the product description says installation requires no tools. Buyer feedback is mixed on fit and installation: some customers say the filter aligns and installs easily, while others report that it does not line up or click into the housing properly. That makes fit the main point to weigh against the convenience of getting three replacements together.

For a practical check, compare the model number on your refrigerator with the models named in the listing, then confirm that the existing filter reference matches one of the stated compatible types. If the cartridge does not seat correctly, forcing it into place is not a sensible workaround. These fit reports are not proof of what will happen with every refrigerator, but they do make exact model matching especially relevant.

Practical tips

Before replacing a cartridge, have the refrigerator model and the current filter reference available so you can compare them with the listed compatibility information. The product listing says the filter is designed for tool-free replacement. Once installed, follow the refrigerator's own instructions for putting a new filter into service, since no detailed procedure is provided here.

The stated service life is up to six months per filter. Treat that as the product's stated interval, not a guarantee that every household will get the same duration. A three-pack may be useful if you want replacement cartridges on hand, someone who prefers to buy only one cartridge at a time may find a single-filter purchase a better match for their routine.

Final verdict

The DRINKCLEAR BA9 (DC999) is worth considering when your refrigerator uses one of the listed filter references and you want three replacements aimed at chlorine reduction and improved-tasting water. Its stated dimensions and compatibility list give you concrete details to compare before buying. The mixed reports about alignment and installation are a reason to verify the exact refrigerator model rather than relying on a general match to the ULTRAWF name alone.
