CRKD 26-ATP-RPU-016 ATOM+ Wireless Mini Controller, Retro Purple

TMR magnetic thumbsticks give the CRKD ATOM+ precise control in a pocket-sized wireless gamepad, making it easier to bring a familiar controller along for gaming away from a desk or console setup.

Its Retro Purple finish and compact 90mm x 48mm design are paired with dual analog sticks, digital triggers, bumpers, and a full face-button layout. The rechargeable battery charges through USB-C.

Choose a mini controller when portability matters, a full-size gamepad may better suit a setup where a larger controller is your everyday preference. ATOM+ is designed to pair by Bluetooth with Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, PC, iOS and Android devices, and Smart TVs.

Quick overview

ATOM+ packs a 12-button control layout into a small form factor. TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) thumbsticks use contact-free magnetic technology, while motion controls and vibration feedback add support for games that use those features. Digital triggers and bumpers provide familiar inputs for modern games, and the built-in rechargeable battery keeps the controller ready for wireless play.

The CRKD Companion App adds options to remap buttons, adjust settings, tune inputs, and update firmware. That gives players a way to tailor the controller and manage firmware through a compatible app, rather than relying only on the default setup.

Buyers commonly highlight the compact size and portability, along with its use with Switch 2 and responsive buttons. Some also call out the shoulder buttons. Those impressions point to the everyday appeal of a small controller that retains a broader set of gaming controls.

Who it’s for

This controller suits players who want a portable gamepad for travel, handheld gaming, or a small bag or pocket. Its multi-platform Bluetooth compatibility also makes it useful for moving between supported consoles, computers, mobile devices, and Smart TVs. If your priority is a controller that takes up less room than a full-size option while retaining dual sticks, triggers, bumpers, and face buttons, ATOM+ brings those controls together in a compact design.

The wrist strap can help secure the controller during play or attach it to a bag or backpack. Its motion controls and vibration feedback are relevant for compatible games, so the available play features can extend beyond standard button and stick inputs.

How to use it

Pair ATOM+ with a supported device over Bluetooth, then use the stick and button layout for your game. For compatible titles, motion controls and vibration feedback are available as part of the controller’s feature set. When the battery needs charging, connect it through USB-C. The included wrist strap can be attached for a more secure hold or for carrying the controller with your other gear.

For personalized controls or firmware management, connect with the CRKD Companion App to remap buttons, adjust settings, and update firmware. This is useful when you want the controller’s inputs set up around your preferences rather than using only the default mapping.

Buying verdict

CRKD ATOM+ is a practical fit for players who value a small carry-friendly controller without giving up dual analog sticks, bumpers, digital triggers, motion controls, and vibration feedback. Bluetooth support across Nintendo Switch 2 and other listed platforms makes it suitable for gaming in more than one setting, while USB-C charging and app-based customization round out its everyday use. The Retro Purple edition brings that portable setup in a distinctive color.
