Cool Toner TN-880 Black Toner Cartridge

A two-cartridge pack gives you a ready replacement and a spare for compatible Brother printers, while each TN-880 cartridge is rated for up to 12,000 pages at 5% coverage. That makes this Cool Toner set relevant for people who print black text regularly and would rather keep a backup on hand than order cartridges one at a time. The listed yield is an estimate tied to a specific coverage level, though, so pages with large dark areas or frequent graphics may use toner faster. You’ll appreciate it if your printer is on the compatibility list and you want a high-yield alternative to buying a single cartridge.

How it fits

This is a compatible black toner cartridge for selected Brother models, including the HL-L6200DW, HL-L6200DWT, HL-L6250DW, HL-L6300DW, HL-L6400DW, and HL-L6400DWT, plus the MFC-L6700DW, MFC-L6750DW, MFC-L6800DW, and MFC-L6900DW. Match the complete printer model before buying, a similar-looking model name by itself doesn’t confirm compatibility. The pack contains two TN-880 cartridges, so it suits a home office or workgroup that wants a spare ready when the current cartridge runs out. For example, if a busy week of forms and reports leaves the printer low, the second cartridge is already available instead of waiting to restock.

What does the yield figure mean for your everyday printing? It’s based on 5% page coverage on Letter/A4 paper, so it offers a useful comparison point rather than a promise that every user will get the same number of pages. It’s not for you if your Brother printer isn’t one of the listed models, or if you specifically want a manufacturer-branded cartridge rather than a compatible replacement.

Pros

• Two cartridges in the pack provide a spare as well as a replacement.
• Each cartridge is rated for up to 12,000 pages at the stated 5% coverage.
• The listed compatibility covers several Brother HL and MFC printer models.
• Black toner is suited to routine text documents and other monochrome printing.

The trade-off is that the supplied details don’t specify independent print tests or additional cartridge features. If your priority is buying a single replacement, a one-cartridge option may be a closer fit, this bundle is aimed more at stocking up. The stated yield also depends on page coverage, so heavy printing of filled-in graphics can reduce the number of pages you get.

Spec sheet

• Name: Cool Toner TN-880
• Type: Compatible black toner cartridge
• Format: 2-pack
• Page yield: Up to 12,000 pages per cartridge at 5% coverage on Letter/A4
• Compatible printers: Brother HL-L6200DW, HL-L6200DWT, HL-L6250DW, HL-L6300DW, HL-L6400DW, HL-L6400DWT, MFC-L6700DW, MFC-L6750DW, MFC-L6800DW, and MFC-L6900DW

The page-yield figure is useful for comparing high-yield cartridges, but actual output depends on what you print. On the spec sheet, this set is a straightforward choice for keeping compatible printers supplied with black toner, not a guarantee of identical results across different documents.

Final verdict

Choose this two-pack if your Brother printer appears in the compatibility list, you use black toner consistently, and having a second cartridge ready matters more than buying just one. Its clearest advantage is the stated high yield per cartridge paired with a built-in spare. Skip it if your exact printer model isn’t listed or you need an original manufacturer cartridge, the product is described as compatible, and the provided details don’t establish performance beyond the stated yield and coverage conditions.
