CLAONER Solar Motion Sensor Lights, 126 LEDs

Where it shines

Homeowners looking to add motion-triggered light around a deck, patio, fence, garage, or entryway may appreciate this eight-pack of solar wall lights. They mount without a wired power connection, so they can suit spots where running a cable would be inconvenient.

The practical draw is automatic light when someone approaches, rather than leaving a bright fixture on all night. Picture walking up the steps after dark: motion can bring the light to full brightness, then it dims or turns off, depending on the mode you choose.

If you prioritize flexible placement and motion-activated lighting, this setup makes sense, if you prefer a dependable wired fixture for a location with little direct sun, a hardwired option may be a better match. Solar charging depends on the panel receiving daylight, and the description doesn’t specify sensor range or nightly runtime.

Quick overview

The listing describes an eight-pack with 126 SMD2835 LEDs, output up to 800 lumens, a 3000K color temperature, a 1200mAh rechargeable battery, and a 270° lighting angle. Each light uses a polycrystalline silicon solar panel. There’s no power cable to connect, and installation can use the included screws or double-sided tape, the description also mentions fastening with rope.

Three modes let you choose how the lights behave overnight:

• Medium continuous light: stays at 30% brightness without motion sensing.
• Dim sensor mode: remains at 10% brightness, rises to 100% when motion is detected, then returns to 10% after 20 seconds.
• Strong sensor mode: turns on at 100% brightness when motion is detected and switches off after 20 seconds.

In either sensor mode, continued motion keeps the light at full brightness. A front switch lets you change modes. The IP65 rating and ABS construction are intended for outdoor use in conditions including rain, snow, and sleet, though this isn’t a reason to assume the lights will perform identically in every exposed location.

Best use cases

These make the most sense for adding light along a route or at a point of approach, such as a patio door, fence line, garage wall, or outdoor steps. You can place them where a person is likely to trigger the sensor instead of illuminating a whole yard continuously. The description also says the sensor can detect small dogs, which may be useful if a pet uses the garden at night.

They’re less suited to buyers who need a specified detection distance, adjustable sensor settings, or guaranteed illumination through long stretches without useful daylight, those details aren’t provided. A location with access to sunlight gives the solar panel a better chance to recharge. For a single permanent fixture with a known light output and wired power, a conventional wall light is the more straightforward approach.

Should you buy it?

It’s a great fit if you want several wire-free lights for outdoor access points and value a choice between low-level overnight lighting and motion-triggered brightness. The included mounting options also give you some flexibility when there isn’t a convenient outlet nearby. The product comes with a 24-month warranty, according to the listing.

It’s not for you if the installation spot stays shaded, or if you need precise information about sensor range and how long the lights will run after charging. Choose it for adaptable, solar-powered coverage around everyday outdoor routes, choose a wired light when predictable power matters more than avoiding wiring.
