Cesun Small Bathroom Trash Can, 1.3 gal

Best use cases

In a tight bathroom, beside a bedroom desk, or under an office counter, a bulky wastebasket can take up more room than the daily scraps it collects. The Cesun small bathroom trash can is designed for those spots: its slim footprint, pedal-operated lid, and 1.3-gallon capacity keep routine cleanup contained without putting a full-size bin on the floor.

Picture tossing a tissue or cotton pad after getting ready, then closing the lid with your foot. The soft-close action is intended to keep the lid from clanging shut.

The narrow shape is useful where floor space matters, but capacity is the tradeoff. A small bin will need emptying more often than a larger kitchen-style can, especially in a shared space or a room that produces more waste. You’ll appreciate it if you want a lidded bin for light, everyday bathroom or desk-side use. Better avoided if you need one container to handle several people’s household trash between cleanouts.

Product specs

The can measures 9.5 inches long by 5.8 inches wide by 11 inches high. Its black stainless-steel exterior is paired with a removable inner bucket, a carry handle on the back, and a pedal for hands-free opening. The bag-hiding design helps keep the liner tucked out of sight, five trash bags are included, and the bin is listed as compatible with standard 1.2–1.3-gallon bags. The maker also says the steel pedal is built to withstand more than 150,000 steps, though that durability figure is a stated specification rather than a guarantee of how it will hold up in every home.

Before choosing a spot, compare those dimensions with the gap beside your vanity, desk, or cabinet. A slim can can fit where a wider one cannot, but it still needs enough room for the lid to open and for you to lift out the inner bucket. The black finish and simple lines suit a more discreet look than an open-top plastic wastebasket, while the lid contains the contents from view. Is that small visual improvement worth giving up capacity? It depends on whether keeping the bin unobtrusive matters more than emptying it less often.

Where it shines

The practical advantage is the combination of a foot pedal and removable bucket in a compact format. For example, if you are cleaning up at a bathroom sink with wet hands, the pedal lets you open the lid without touching it, when the liner is full, you can lift out the inner bucket rather than carry the whole can to the trash. The hidden-bag feature also makes sense in a bedroom or office where the bin stays in view.

Compared with a basic open wastebasket, this one adds a lid, pedal, and a more finished appearance. Compared with a larger lidded can, it favors a small footprint over fewer trips to empty it. The stainless-steel body is described as smudge-resistant, but the listing does not provide care instructions or details about how the finish performs over time. The removable bucket offers a straightforward way to rinse the interior, though it does not change the limited capacity.

Is it worth it?

On the spec sheet, the Cesun is a purpose-built small bin rather than an all-purpose household trash can. Its strongest case is a narrow bathroom or a personal workspace where a visible open bin feels messy and a larger container would be awkward. The included liners, concealed-bag design, pedal, and removable bucket all support that focused use.

Choose it if its dimensions fit your intended spot and you are comfortable with a 1.3-gallon capacity. Look elsewhere if you want a bin for heavier daily waste, fewer emptying trips, or a space where the lid cannot open freely. The main decision is simple: prioritize a compact, hands-free bin for light waste, or step up to a larger format and give up some floor space.
