Meydrdou 16.5-Inch Round Toilet Seat, Almond PP Plastic, Soft-Close Lid
Product description
A replacement seat may need to match a round bowl, or add a quieter close and easier cleaning. The Meydrdou seat is designed for most standard 16.5-inch round toilets and comes in almond. Its soft-close hinges lower the seat and lid gently. Measure your bowl first, since the stated fit is not universal.
Best use cases
This seat is intended for standard round toilets in settings such as a home, apartment, or guest bathroom. Its almond color makes it a practical choice when matching the existing bathroom matters, while the round shape suits bowls of the specified size. The soft-close mechanism is useful in shared spaces where a slamming lid would be disruptive.
The quick-release design lets you remove the seat for cleaning around areas that are harder to reach with it in place. For a routine replacement, that can be more convenient than a seat that stays attached during cleaning. It’s a great fit if your toilet is a standard round model and you want the combination of a quiet close and removable seat. Measure the bowl before ordering rather than relying on color or shape alone.

Why it’s worth it
The main appeal is the set of everyday conveniences: slow-close hinges, a smooth surface described as easy to wipe clean, and quick release for more thorough access during bathroom cleaning. Installation hardware and instructions are included, and the listing states a 2-year service commitment. These details make it more feature-focused than a basic fixed seat, especially for households that value quieter closing and easier access for cleaning.
Buyer feedback generally highlights straightforward installation, the soft-close action, cleaning, and fit. Color match is also mentioned positively, though color perception can vary between bathrooms and existing fixtures. Feedback about sturdiness is mixed: some buyers find the seat sturdy, while others describe it as flimsy and criticize the plastic as feeling inexpensive. That makes material feel a reasonable factor to weigh if you prefer a more substantial-feeling seat. It may not suit you if that feel is a priority and you would rather choose based on a different material.
Before you decide
How do I know whether it will fit? It is designed for most standard 16.5-inch round bowls. Measure your toilet and compare its shape and size with the listed fit before choosing it.
Can I remove it for cleaning? Yes. The quick-release design is intended to let the seat come off so you can clean around harder-to-reach areas.
What is included for installation? The listing specifies installation hardware and instructions, along with a user manual. It describes the setup as easy, but does not provide a separate installation time.
Buying verdict
Choose the Meydrdou if you have a compatible round bowl and want almond coloring, soft-close hinges, and a removable seat for cleaning. The practical trade-off is that fit depends on your toilet’s measurements, while buyer impressions of the plastic’s sturdiness are not consistent. If you are deciding between a simple replacement and one with added cleaning and closing features, this model’s appeal is in those conveniences—not in a stated material upgrade.
