Aothia PAD-DM-Black-XL Desk Pad, 48" x 17" Black PU Leather with Suede Backing

If you want one surface for a laptop, keyboard, and mouse, the Aothia desk pad gives your setup room to spread out while helping shield the desktop from everyday marks.

Its 48" x 17" format works as a desk mat, mouse pad, writing pad, and blotter. The black PU leather surface brings those tasks together in one place.

Choose a broad desk pad when you want coverage across your work area, a smaller mouse pad is better suited to a mouse-only spot. This mat is designed for the wider setup.

The essentials

The smooth PU leather surface provides a comfortable area for writing, typing, browsing, and mouse use. At 48" x 17", it can accommodate a laptop, keyboard, and mouse together, helping define a dedicated work zone at home or in an office. Its rectangular shape and black finish give the desktop a consistent, streamlined look.

The pad also helps protect the desk from scratches, scuffs, stains, spills, and heat. Its water-resistant surface is useful around drinks and other everyday liquids, while the suede backing is designed to increase friction against the desktop. The listed thickness is 0.08 inches. Buyers often praise its soft feel, appearance, and usefulness as a mouse pad, feedback on grip and how readily it lies flat is mixed.

Care & maintenance

For everyday cleanup, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or paper towel. This simple care routine is useful for clearing dust and small spills after work or while keeping the desk ready for the next task. The water-resistant PU leather surface can help protect the desktop from liquid marks, while prompt wiping keeps the work area tidy.

How to use it

Place the pad on a desk with the suede side against the desktop and the PU leather side facing up. Arrange a laptop, keyboard, and mouse across the surface, or use the open area for writing and browsing. It can serve as a single large work surface rather than separating those tasks across a desk mat and a smaller mouse pad. For a practical home-office setup, keep the keyboard and mouse on the pad and use the remaining space for a laptop or notes.

Practical questions

Can it fit a laptop, keyboard, and mouse? The 48" x 17" surface is described as large enough to accommodate all three, making it suitable for a combined computer and writing area.

How should I clean the desk pad? Wipe it with a damp cloth or paper towel to clean the surface after everyday use or a spill.

Can I use it for writing as well as mouse control? Yes. Its smooth surface is intended for writing, typing, browsing, and mouse use, so it can serve as both a desk blotter and a mouse pad.

Final verdict

This Aothia desk pad suits anyone looking to cover a broad section of a home or office desk with one versatile surface. Its 48" x 17" size brings laptop, keyboard, mouse, and writing space together, while the water-resistant PU leather and suede backing make it a practical choice for an organized everyday workspace.
