Product description
Some shower-drain buyers want a simple way to catch hair without adding a fixed installation. The Aojuxix FANG -1 sits over the drain and uses closely spaced holes to catch hair while letting water pass through. Its stainless steel cover has a soft silicone rim. Measure your drain before choosing it, since the stated fit is for drains below 4 inches.
Tech summary
- Name: Aojuxix FANG -1 Shower Drain Hair Catcher
- Material: Stainless steel with a silicone rim
- Color: Gray
- Dimensions: 4.9 x 4.9 inches, listed height is 0.19 inches
- Fit: For shower drains below 4 inches, described as suitable for round or square drains
- What’s included: One hair catcher
The cover is placed over the drain, so there is no special installation step described. The silicone edge is intended to sit against the floor, while the small holes let water drain as hair and other debris collect on top. For a practical use case, remove the cover after a shower, lift off the collected hair with paper, and rinse it with water. That routine is more direct than relying on hair to pass into the drain and clearing it later.
Who it’s for
This design may suit a bathroom where loose hair regularly reaches the floor drain and a removable catcher is preferable to a permanently installed solution. The low-profile, gray cover is also intended to sit over either a round or square drain, as long as the opening is within the stated size range. You’ll appreciate it if you want to lift away collected hair without using extra cleaning tools.
Buyer feedback often highlights hair collection, quick cleanup, and an appearance that blends with the shower. Reports on stability are mixed: some buyers say it stays put, while others find it can shift when bumped. Durability feedback is also divided, with some describing lasting use and others reporting that the unit came apart after a short time. These are individual buyer impressions, not a guarantee of how it will perform in a particular shower.
What you get
The listed package contains one drain hair catcher. The maker describes the stainless steel cover as weighted and the silicone rim as soft, the product is placed over the drain rather than attached with a special installation method. Keep in mind that the instructions warn against stepping on the cover because of a slipping risk. It is intended to catch hair, not to serve as a standing surface.
Before ordering, compare the drain opening with the stated fit and account for how the cover will sit on your shower floor. The dimensions are listed as 4.9 by 4.9 inches, while the fit guidance refers to drains below 4 inches. That makes measuring the opening a useful first step, especially if the drain or surrounding floor is unusually shaped.
What to clarify
Does it fit a round drain? The product description says it can cover round or square drains, provided the drain is below 4 inches.
How is it installed? It is placed over the drain, no special installation is described.
How do you clean it? Remove the collected hair with paper, then rinse the catcher with water.
Final verdict
The Aojuxix FANG -1 is a straightforward removable option for catching shower hair, with a stainless steel cover, silicone rim, and simple cleanup. It is worth considering when the drain matches the stated fit and you want a cover that can be lifted away rather than a fixed setup. Not the best choice if you need a secured cover that will not move when bumped: buyer reports differ on how firmly it stays in place, and the product instructions caution against stepping on it.
