68XL Compatible Ink Cartridges, Black and Tri-Color Combo Pack

If you print often and would rather replace a cartridge less frequently, this black-and-color combo is aimed at that kind of routine. It’s a compatible replacement for select HP 68 printers, with one black cartridge and one tri-color cartridge in the pack. The main draw is the stated page yield, the trade-off is that compatibility depends on your exact printer model, so the model number matters more than the broad printer family.

Key points

The pack includes one 68e black cartridge, one 68e tri-color cartridge, and a user guide. The listing gives estimated yields of 730 pages for black and 630 pages for tri-color, measured at 5% coverage on A4 paper. Those figures provide a useful point of comparison, but actual page counts can vary with how much ink your documents use. A page of dense graphics or photos, for example, won’t use ink the same way as a lightly printed document.

The cartridges are described as high-yield replacements with upgraded chips. The maker also claims sharp text, smooth gradients, and rich color for everyday documents, spreadsheets, photos, and homework. That makes the set sound suited to a mix of household printing rather than a dedicated photo-printing setup. It’s a two-cartridge replacement pack, not a complete supply for every color or printing need.

How it fits

The stated compatible printers include HP Envy models such as the 6155, 6555, 6155e, 6555e, and 6100e, along with DeskJet models such as the 2955, 2900, 2923, 4327, and 4355. The listing names additional variations in both families. Keep in mind that a similar series name doesn’t confirm compatibility by itself: match your printer’s full model number to the listing before choosing this replacement.

The page-yield figures are according to the maker and use a 5% coverage benchmark on A4 paper. That’s a reference condition, not a promise of how many pages your own printing will produce. If your routine includes lots of color-heavy school projects or photos, expect ink use to differ from mostly black-text printing.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a typical home routine, this could mean replacing both cartridges before a stretch of printing—say, a week of worksheets, a few spreadsheets, and occasional color pages—instead of buying black and color separately. Install the cartridge that matches the color you need to replace, and keep the printer model information handy if you need to check compatibility again later. The included user guide may help with basic setup, but the product details don’t specify installation steps or troubleshooting support.

If most of your pages are plain text, compare the black yield with your usual print volume rather than assuming the color cartridge will be used at the same pace. A household that prints photos frequently has different needs from one that mainly prints forms and homework, even when both use a compatible printer.

Questions before you buy

What’s included? One black cartridge, one tri-color cartridge, and a user guide.

Which printers does it fit? The listing names select HP Envy and DeskJet models. Check your exact model number against the compatibility list before ordering.

Are the page counts guaranteed? No. The stated 730 black and 630 color pages are estimates based on 5% coverage on A4 paper, your results depend on what you print.

Buying verdict

It makes sense if you have a listed printer and want a black-and-color replacement set with stated high-yield figures for everyday documents and occasional color printing. The yield estimates are useful for comparison, but they don’t tell you exactly how long the cartridges will last in your household. You may want to skip it if your printer model isn’t explicitly listed or if you need a more predictable page count for image-heavy printing.
