Uross 110CM Carpet Protector for Pets 🐾
Product description
This vinyl protector sheet for carpets helps keep doorways free from scratching and wear by cats, combining a simple barrier with easy customisation for different thresholds. Its 110 cm length and wider format make it suitable for most interior doors, offering a practical way to prevent claws and sliding damage on carpet near entrances.
Key Points
The sheet is made from recyclable PVC plastic with a thickness of 1.8 mm, intended to deter cats from scratching the carpet surface and to protect fibres at busy doorways. It arrives rolled for transport and should be laid flat before use. The textured upper face reduces the risk of slipping, while the firmer backing helps keep the protector in position during normal household activity. Consider measuring the door width before purchase, since the item is best suited to doors approximately 70 cm to 100 cm wide according to the manufacturer. 🐾

Usage Recommendations
Cutting the protector to shape is straightforward. The design has been widened so you can trim it into a single flap or two side wings to match your doorway layout. Place the cut piece flat and allow any curling from transport to settle before final positioning, as the product is shipped rolled. If the protector is used on particularly heavy-pile carpet, check that edges do not create a trip hazard and adjust the size accordingly. ✂️
Positive Aspects
This protector allows a discrete way to address claw marks and rubbing at thresholds without adhesives or complex installation, and the recyclable PVC construction makes it easy to clean with a damp cloth. Its textured surface improves grip underfoot and the thicker backing reduces unwanted movement. Note that persistent scratching behaviour may require complementary measures focused on behaviour and enrichment rather than relying solely on a physical barrier. 😺
