Benefits
This router provides solid dual band speeds that suit online gaming on Xbox and PS4, HD streaming on multiple devices and everyday browsing. OneMesh support means you can extend coverage without replacing the whole system, and MU-MIMO helps maintain performance when several devices are active simultaneously. The full Gigabit Ethernet ports are useful if you want low-latency wired connections for consoles or desktop PCs. A small caveat is that peak speeds depend on your broadband plan and line quality, according to the manufacturer.
Getting the most from it
Setup is straightforward with plug and play and the Tether app for mobile management. Keep firmware up to date to avoid connectivity issues, and place the router centrally to make the most of the two fixed omnidirectional antennas and Beamforming technology. It’s a good fit if you need a versatile modem router that can handle VDSL2 and ADSL lines as well as fibre or cable through compatible modems.
What’s included
The package includes the Archer VR400 AC1200 router, power adapter and quick installation guide, so you can get online quickly and expand later with OneMesh devices if required.
