Scrumbles All Natural Dry Cat Food with 75% Chicken – High Protein for Adults & Seniors (2.5Kg)
Product description
What is it and what problem does it aim to solve
Scrumbles All Natural Dry Cat Food is a high-protein, gluten-free option designed for adult and senior cats. It relies on a generous 75% chicken content, aiming to support lean muscle and overall vitality without artificial derivatives. For cats with sensitive stomachs, the formula includes added probiotics to help gentle digestion, and it’s positioned as hypoallergenic to support coat health and urinary tract wellness. On paper, it presents a straightforward, natural-fee response to common dietary concerns in cats, especially for households seeking simple, meat-forward nutrition.
What stands out on paper
The standout feature is the 75% chicken content, paired with gluten-free and hypoallergenic claims. The gut-friendly angle comes from added probiotics, which may benefit cats with digestive sensitivity. The product emphasises no derivatives, preservatives or fillers, and it’s described as natural, responsibly sourced with human-grade meat. Production is described as taking place in the UK & Ireland by an independent, family-run company, with recyclable packaging. These points make the brand feel more transparent about sourcing and ethics than some mass-market kibble.
The best and the less convincing parts
On the plus side, the high meat content and probiotic supplementation align with a practical, digestive-friendly approach. The emphasis on being gluten-free and hypoallergenic can be meaningful for certain cats and owners who notice sensitive stomachs, coat gloss and urinary health signals. On the downside, the description doesn’t reveal detailed macronutrient breakdowns or feeding guidelines, so it’s prudent to consider portion control and weight management based on your cat’s needs. Some owners might prefer more transparent evidence about probiotic strains or guaranteed analysis. It may also be less appealing if you’re seeking grain-containing recipes or a wider protein mix.
Who it’s for
It’s likely to suit adult and senior cats that benefit from a high-protein, simple ingredient list and gentler digestion. If your cat tolerates chicken well and you’re aiming to support a healthy coat and urinary tract while avoiding fillers, this could be a sensible fit. Those prioritising sustainability and waste reduction might also appreciate recyclable packaging and a UK/Ireland production story.
When it makes sense to buy
If you’re transitioning to a higher-protein, gluten-free diet and want a product with probiotics for digestion, this option could help smooth the switch. It might work well for households with fussy eaters who are drawn to a meat-forward profile and a straightforward ingredient list. Also relevant if you’re seeking a product from a family-owned operation rather than a large multinational.
When you might want to exclude it
If your cat needs a varied protein mix (e.g., different meats), or if you require explicit feeding guidelines, a product with more detailed nutritional data might be preferred. If your cat has allergies beyond gluten or chicken, or if you prefer non-probiotic options, this formula may not be ideal.
What to check before buying
Look for the guaranteed analysis on the pack to confirm protein and fat levels align with your cat’s needs. Check the probiotic claims and the specific strains used if those details matter to you. Confirm the packaging size (2.5Kg) and note that packaging may vary. Consider how the product fits into your existing feeding routine and whether you need a transition plan to avoid digestive upset.
Practical use and comparison to alternatives
For owners weighing meat-forward, grain-free options, this product offers a straightforward approach without introducing a complex array of ingredients. If you prefer a more varied protein profile or a different dietary approach (e.g., mixed protein or higher fibre), you may opt for alternatives. In practice, this kibble could be ideal for daily feeding as a reliable base diet, rather than occasional treats.

Worth considering if you prioritise a high-meat, gluten-free, hypoallergenic formula with probiotics for digestion and a simple ingredient list. It may not be the best choice if you require detailed nutritional guarantees or a multi-protein approach.
